Breakup-Quotes

I’m one of those people that can’t let go. If I’ve had fun with you once, I will text you on your birthday for at least the next five years. If we were friends in elementary school and haven’t talked since, I guarantee I still know your mom’s name and your favorite food. My crushes never go away, they just fade. I still tell stories about great times with people I haven’t seen in years. If you turn down my offer to get drinks and catch up ten times, I promise I will still ask an 11th time. If we fight and you block me, I will find a way to check in on you anyway to make sure you’re okay. So if I give up on you, just know that you damn well deserved it.
I think once you move on, you start to see the person as less and you thought they where. They aren’t a hurricane of heart break or a glorious ocean any more. Their eyes don’t remind you of chocolate or the sky, and their presence doesn’t make your heart skip an extra beat. They just become a person who loved you a little less than you loved them.

Life is too short to waste one, single second with someone who doesn’t appreciate and value you.
If you are still in love with your ex

Don’t date people in hopes of getting over them. If you think you’re ready, you better be damn sure. You better be sure that if your ex texts, calls, begs for you back, you will say no without a doubt. Before ever even considering asking someone to let you in, look at a photo and not have your heart ache. I’ve been guilty of this in the past and I’m so sorry. Thinking I’m over someone and that if I just had someone new, I would move on completely. Its bullshit. Don’t think you are ready, know you are ready. That desire you feel to immediately move on means that you aren’t over it. That jump is not a good jump. No one can help you get over someone, that’s a journey you need to take alone. Because even though it may seem simple or casual to you, you could be the person that allows them to feel for the first time in ages. You could be the person that throws them right back to the bottom, while you go back to something you released. Don’t drag someone along or get their hopes up just because you want to move on. You aren’t ready. You’re being selfish.

How dare you take someone along for the ride while you try to heal?
If you are still in love your ex, stop looking for someone to fill the void that you need to fill yourself.

Does he care about you or does he care about getting you into his bed? Do you like him or do you like the words he says to you? Trust me, I know how hard it is to tell, but there’s a difference between what’s real magic and what’s just smoke and mirrors.
I was driving home today as I passed by all the places we used to go together. It was in the midst of our bittersweet memories when I realized I took you to all my favorite places.
All my favorite places that I can never return to again.
