Andrew sighed lightly to himself. As far as he could tell the surgery had gone successfully, but it would be impossible to know until later. That was one of the biggest problems with his job, the waiting. Then again with Erin he was just having to wait a lot more for things now. As he finished cleaning up he headed out to talk to one of the nurses about when and what his next surgery was. A nice enough woman, but of a gossip though. “Hey Amy, how are things?” well just because it was work, didn’t mean he couldn’t be nice. “Fine. You’ve got some time off now though, next one’s at two” he couldn’t help but notice that she was looking at him slightly oddly. “That girl you were talking to the other day, was her name Hollie?” He stared at her in confusion for a moment before nodding, wondering where on earth she was going with this. “She got admitted into the hospital earlier” as she spoke she wrote down a room number on the piece of paper, “you’ve got time, if you want to, go”. He nodded, slightly dazed by the news, and completely unaware of what was going on.
Luckily he knew the hospital incredibly well, and finding the room took practically no time at all. Going in, it looked like she was still asleep, but there were bruises on her face. What on earth had happened? Attempting to swallow the worry, or at least burry it for a while we walked over to the side of her bed, “hey Hollie, it’s me” well what else could he say? He still had no idea what was going on.
