Gorgoroth at Black Mass Krakow, 2004 in Krakow, Poland.
The Black Metal band Gorgoroth performed a concert in Krakow, Poland in 2004 which resembled a Black Mass gathering (hence, the name). More than 80 sheep were slaughtered, their heads mounted on stakes surrounding the stage. On the stage behind the band were three crosses. To each cross was nailed a naked realistic mannequin, in the style of a crucifixion. Gorgoroth were threatened with counts of animal cruelty, disrupting the peace, and violating blasphemy laws, which forced the band to leave the country following the performance.
