Let’s support our co-Tumblirsta. Bb. Pilipinas candidate # 28. Her URL: http://merceraquel.tumblr.com, She is Mercegrace Raquel from University of the Philippines Los Banos, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Science teaching Major in Biology. From Her Blog: Ramp model. Blogger. Artist. Not just your typical pageant girl. I am a modern woman in the sense of “I-take-care-of-myself”, I am fiercely independent, and I am really ambitious. Yet I have these old-school thoughts in my mind. This blog will be my diary, as well as my online portfolio wherein I can compile and post the things I like, and share all my works, in collaboration with the other artists in the industry.

– From the moment that kuya Pabee reblog her post here on Tumblr, I got the chance to know who is she. I went to her blog, and read some of her entries. Then I found out that she’s one of the delegates of Bb. Pilipinas 2013. I also checked her so-called about me, and found out that she;s from UP and was surprised when I read her course. She’s totally a bio geek. I also knew that she did many runway events and that means she’s a pro-model. Her dark skin complexion, and her height and maybe her brain too definitely suit the exact marks of being the Bb. Pilipinas for this year. I really hope that she will own the crown tonight. She’s totally a full package-d lady. And a true Pinay-Filipina Beauty.

Sorry but, I’m totally a proud citizen of the Philippines - Where black and brainiac gorgeous Filipinas grow. Philippines’ own carved pretty Barbies! Let’s all cheer for the our own countries’ own dark gorgeous legged ladies. I know they are all pretty and brainy, but only one can be titled as the Bb. Pilipinas who will compete for Miss Universe. Let’s be proud whoever wins, Let’s all wish that she deserve the place and lift our country up once again. :) Goodluck!

Bb. Pilipinas #23.

Siya yung feel ko na mananalo. Or else yung #26. Ang galing niya kaya! Who else is with me?

The People is the Government. Therefore, The Government is the People.

Bongga diba?

EDIT. Changed my mind. I’ll go with #26. Paano ba naman, Summa-Cum Laude pala ng UP Diliman. Architecture pa. Tapos, OMG. Basta. Ang awesome niya. =)

Bb. Pilipinas Q&A ala Kaila

Last year, I tweeted my own answers to the questions in Ms. Universe. The only reason why I watch beauty pageants is that, I’m a huge fan of question and answer portions. This is just for fun. I picked some of my favorite questions and I will try to answer them.

Q1: Given the power to change our personal experience, what would you change and why?

I can’t think of any personal experience worth changing. Although I can think of some which I wish that didn’t happen, I really can’t see myself, wanting to change my own experiences in the past. Yes, my childhood was tough, I had to go through the pain of growing up without a mom, but still, I’m very thankful because my past experiences helped me become the person that I am right now. I do believe that things happen for a reason, and it’s up to us to face those things.

Q2: How do you define happiness?

Happiness for me, is not just a state of being happy, it is being contented with what you have, and being satisfied with your life. It is loving and being loved. It is one of those genuine feelings that can only be felt by people who always look positively in life, no matter what the circumstances are.

Q3: How will you show the rest of the World that it’s more fun in the Philippines? (Most favorite question ever. Haha. I’ll answer this and the next question using the Filipino language because it is about our country.)

Q4: If you would be President for one day, what would you do?

Q5: If your future husband made you choose between him and your career, what would you choose and why?

I would definitely choose my career. Come to think of it, if that guy really loves me, why would he even bother to make me choose? The reason why I’m studying right now is because I want to be successful doing the things that I love so that someday I’ll be ready and worthy to have a family which I can call mine. Loving a person means also loving the person for who and what she wants to be.

Q6: What would you rather be, someone who is respected, or someone who is loved?

Respect is everything to me. There are some instances that we do things because we love a person, and we often make this as an excuse. We cannot really call it ‘love’ without respect. Love and respect go hand in hand. You cannot love someone if you cannot respect her, but you can always respect someone even if you don’t love her. Being respected means that you are doing something right, and you are living accordingly.
