HOT ISSUE B.A.P side, contract nullification process revealed “TS, no proper response back"
The group B.A.P, who have filed a lawsuit against their company TS entertainment for a full contract nullification and the fair amount of payment have revealed their lawsuit process. On the 5th, B.A.P revealed the process through their lawyer of Dodam who is in charge of the judicial affairs. According to the Dodam, “The response TS submitted on January 15th did not state the usage of 15.5 million won for album promotion that was used without permission, it did not contain the detailed response to the 6 members of B.A.P.’s statements, and TS Entertainment still has not submitted their proper response on the 4th although they said that they would submit it as soon as possible, despite the fact that they heard that the evidences that were provided were from a wide range of sources.”
On the 20th of January, the Dodam submitted a form to determine the pleading date to the Seoul District 13th Court. On the following 5th of February, the court set March 13th as the pleading date. On the 17th of February, the Dodam submitted a form that allows you to ask for documents insisting the company submit the forms that they were keeping, and they’ve submitted a form asking for the company’s account balance and transaction information to be provided.
However on the 22nd of February, the set pleading date (which was March 13th) was canceled due to a change of the judicial district. In the last two days, the Dodam submitted the form to set a pleading date and the court set the preparation for debate date as March 16th. ‘Preparation for debate date’ is a process when the court judge clearly and precisely recognizes the statements provided from both parties, and when they review and select the evidences to support the truths of their arguments to have an efficient and thorough investigation at the pleading date.
B.A.P debuted in 2012 and have been loved by many through songs such as ‘One Shot’ and ‘1004(Angel)’. They have been nominated as the ‘stars of the global K-POP’. They filed the lawsuit against their company last November.
