SHOW PREVIEW: I.M.P. presents City and Colour at Echostage

If you have not heard City and Colour before, you should probably check him out. The formerly-broken-up-but-still-touring Alexisonfire member started writing songs at a young age and is now currently working on his fifth album. Dallas (the city) Green (the colour) is thankfully making a tour around the United States. His will be performing at Echostage on December 11 and it would be a shame to miss him this coming season.

This folk music is catchy and the lyrics are extremely raw in his acoustic sound. Dallas Green is lead vocalist, songwriter, acoustic guitarist, rhythm guitarist, and pianist for his band. City and Colour has been nominated for four MuchMusic video awards, won The People’s Choice Award for favorite artist for “Save Your Scissors,” and been nominated for seven Juno Awards, three of which he won. He has also performed on an episode of One Tree Hill, at the 2011 Juno Awards, and at the opening of the Meridian Centre, St. Catharine’s hockey arena in 2014. He is set to release his new album, If I Should Go Before You, in October of this year to kick off his tour. So, if you like acoustic music, or even if you don’t, check him out and come see him perform at Echostage in December!
