It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.

This is completely my opinion but, I honestly don’t get people who support Hey Violet. Like, why? Why spend your energy and money on this “band?” There’s so many other great artists and bands who actually have music that means something, that have depth in their lyrics. Not this BS, “Are you feeling what I’m feeling 'cause it’s really feeling right. Don’t wake me if dreaming I could stay here all night. I can feel it…” a song about “having fun.” Which is cool, but all their songs are like this, unless they’re glorifying abusive relationships.

They have shit music with no real meaning behind their lyrics, no depth. I call these songs “empty songs full of catchy beats” or as other people might call them, “one-hit wonders.”

On top of that, the band itself is full of horrid people. Oh, and the fact that this band fucking sucks live. Jesus, they’ve been actively playing shows since 2009, that’s 7 years of live playing! They should be fucking great at it or at least better based on that fact.

If people really want good pop music (who are also v great live) go listen and support acts like:

If people want a rock band who lends itself to the pop genre, listen/support:

And if you guys really want or actually like HV’s (not-so-new) sound, then go and listen to someone who has talent and already did HV’s look/image:

There have been rumours that the couple were ‘on the rocks’ for a while, with the story being that once they had finished recording music together there wasn’t a whole lot left.

Another source told E! news, “The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode. They were doing a collaboration and that’s where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her.”

“She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn’t really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level.”

The unlikely pair shocked everyone when they announced that their engagement in August 2012.

The news comes just as Avril’s previous ex-husband, Deryck Whibley married Ariana Cooper in LA earlier this week.

Avril divorced Deryck back in 2010 after four years of marriage.
