Arctic Fox Fact: The arctic fox’s adaptation to its subzero habitat include a compact body with short legs, short ears, dense fur, and thickly haired foot pads, which insulate against the cold and provide traction on ice.
So this was a commission from a friend who wanted a subtle yin yang message of foxes, and arctic fox with full fluffitude in summer grass and a red fox in winter snow. I went a bit further with the idea to the point where paint was applied to the arctic fox and the snow with the same technique, and paint was applied to the grass and the red fox with the same technique. That said, I think something I really need to work on is COMPOSITION. I am not happy with it, even if the commissioner is. In fact, I might redo it after I take my painting class and send him the updated version as well, because I feel like I’m not giving him his money’s worth.
