Curiosities: In 2006, Alissa appeared on the ‘Canada Idol’ singing a cover of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. In 2012, she was featured as a coach on an episode of ‘MTV Made’. In the same year, along with Elize Ryd (Amaranthe), they did a one-time Nightwish concert replacing Anette Olzon who was sick.
Personal life: Alissa was a vegetarian all her life, but since 1998 she decided to become a vegan. As an animal rights activist, she received a ‘Libby Award’ from PETA for her work in an international campaign advocating against the hunting of Canadian seals. Since 2014, Alissa is dating Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein from the legendary band ‘Misfits’.
