Blu-ray Review: Doctor Mordrid

Full Moon’s Blu-ray catalog thus far has consisted of their biggest cult hits - Puppet Master, Subspecies, Tourist Trap, Trancers, etc. - but their latest HD re-release is a lesser known title: 1992's Doctor Mordrid.

The film is co-directed by Charles Band (Trancers) and his late father, Albert Band (I Bury the Living), from a script by C. Courtney Joyner (Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge). It’s said that the story originated as a an adaptation of Marvel’s Doctor Strange only to be repurposed. While you may not have seen the film before, you’re undoubtedly familiar with its star, Re-Animator’s Jeffrey Combs.
