Can you show us pictures of the versions of Rick in each of your stories? What does Bad Thangs Rick look like? How about the Rick in Vantage Point? Your version of Rick in Machine Heart? I love your stories and wonder how you visualize Rick in each one. It would be great to see the same for Michonne too!

Hello, there, anon!

Thanks for the ask, and sure thing! I try to use gifs to visualize the context and set the scenes up in my stories, but you’re right that has a tendency to be inconsistent as far as the characters’ physical appearance.

So here goes (this was fun, thanks again)!

Bad Thangs Richonne

Most of the time, they will look like this…

For the beginning scene during the party, however, Rick was only kinda stubbly, so he looked more like this…

Vantage Point Richonne

For the most part, they will look like this…

But, toward the end (SPOILER ALERT) when things really start speeding up and becoming more intense, they will change their appearances. I’m kinda agonizing over this right now but oh well…

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER DIRECTLY BELOW…!!!

Rick will shave his head (don’t worry it will grow back!) like so…

And one of Michonne’s wigs will look like this…

Machine Heart Richonne

For the most part, they will look like this…

Except when Rick loses Michonne, he’ll look like this for a while…

Then this right after he is forced to return to the land of the living…

And when I mention how perfect Michonne’s (and also, Cyborg Michonne’s) body is, this* is what I’m talking about…

*Not that Danai’s body is not perfect, but this is the only moving visual representation I can find that has the aesthetics I’m going for with the story.

Oh yes!

And Scarlet Tide Richonne

Bonus -  this is the only Doc Holiday for me…

Hope this helps give you more of a visual picture of everything!

pls be honest: do you ever forsee a trading system added to this game? and does the japanese web version and mobile version have a trading system in place? i just want good items and tbh i don't know if i want to toss hundreds of dollars into the void just to get another 200+ plays and not get the item i so badly crave to soothe my agonizing soul

by Japanese web version and mobile version, do you mean @games and pocketland? if so, @games does in fact have a trading system. no idea about pocketland though.

as for whether or not cocoppa will ever implement one… truthfully I don’t think so. at least not with the current cocoppa model. united’s (et al) game design model is wildly different from gcrest, and fits more with other Japanese (and Korean) games with gacha; games that don’t ever implement trading systems.

I’ve said it before in more detail, but they benefit directly from you not getting the item you want most of the time. sales from “gambling” will always vastly outpace sales made within a “resale” model.

and I don’t see them building an entire extra system to accommodate trading. building something that heretofore has no in game equivalent (P2P transactions) when they’re doing perfectly fine the way things are doesn’t really match their credo. even if the players “want” it, they won’t undercut a huge profit margin. until it affects their bottom line.

in my opinion. but I haven’t been playing as long as some players that are petitioning for it, and I wasn’t around for tinierme, which seems to be where a lot of players draw inspiration for.

HOW DO YOU GUYS MANAGE TO KEEP TOPPING YOURSELVES everything about the clubbing thread was so perfect. Genma’s Cinderella moment. ninja breakdancing. every sexy outfit described in loving detail. rookie bonding. Kakashi drunk. betting pools. ALL THE DOGS YESSSS awesome hunting descriptions and Kin is what I imagine Ryouma to be as a dog. always love how much character development you manage to build into all the shenanigans, and super grateful that you’re all still writing :)

Thank you so much! Believe or or not, we’ve been planning to write this thread for almost three years. The wait was agonizing but so worth it. We had an absolute blast writing both the clubbing thread and the morning after. Character development in the shenanigans is our favorite thing to do. We’re on hiatus this weekend as Ki is out of town, but next weekend we’ll start work on the next thread in the series. Sagara is coming…. *scare chord*

The Problem with writing multi-chapter fanfiction.

  • Person leaves kudos, never comments.
  • Person leaves comment on chapter one about how much they love it and are looking forward to reading more. You never hear from them again.
  • Person leaves comments over a span of chapters (be still my heart, seriously I love you) and then stops commenting somewhere in the middle.

Are you still there? Still reading? Did real life take over? Have I failed you in some way? Did it turn into absolute suck and you just didn’t have the heart to tell me?

Tips On How to Write a Shape-Shifting Character (For both fanfic writers and original content writers)

(gif courtesy of http://ilyone.tumblr.com/)

HOLY SHIT MY LAST POST ABOUT WRITING  WINGED CHARACTERS (which you can find here) GOT A SHIT TON OF NOTES! SO I DECIDED TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE ON SHAPE-SHIFTERS!

There are a lot of shape-shifting fics and stories out there. Like. A lot. Whether they be about were-creatures or about characters that just have the ability to shape-shift, a lot of the times- like with winged characters- these shape-shifters are not written very well.

They may be unoriginal, or they may be super Mary-Sues/Gary Stus when it comes to the fact that they have an infinite amount of power or whatever. So I decided to tackle the issues that come with creating a shape-shifting OC or making a canon character into a shape-shifter.

1. Decide what your character’s shape-shifting will be mainly used for

Shape-shifting can be used for a variety of reasons, and that’s why it’s critical for you to figure out what your shape-shifter will mostly be using their powers for.

Here are some reasons why shape-shifters can use their powers:

-Battle (transforming into a bigger creature to overpower enemies)

-Disguise (transforming into something that blends in with the environment around them to hide from enemies)

-Forced to shift (AKA werewolves)

-Spy work (transforming into antagonist’s lackeys to infiltrate the base or even vice versa)

2. Set Limits Right Off the Bat

Shape-shifters are incredibly powerful, and in theory, they can be practically invincible when it comes to battle and hiding from enemies.

However, that should ONLY be in theory. Your shape-shifters CANNOT be all-powerful like their abilities can call for them to be. Here’s where Mary Sue/Gary Stu elements come in, because many writers just state that their characters can shape-shift and leave it at that.

That brings up questions like:

“If he was running from the Big Bad™, then why didn’t he just shift into a wall or a chair and disguise himself?”

“If she had to fight the Big Bad™, why didn’t she just transform into a dragon and deep fry him?”

“Couldn’t they just masquerade as the Big Bad™’s minions and get inside the secret lair?”

Then, the author tries to make up for the lack of rules by giving us some half-assed explanation halfway through the third book.

As soon as the reader finds out that the main character is a shape-shifter, you have to lay down the groundwork for the limits.

Can they only transform into animals?

Can they only transform a certain amount of times at any given point?

Is there something that distinguishes them from the object/person/animal that they’ve transformed into?

Can they only transform into inanimate objects?

Can they only transform into other people?

Does transforming take a lot of energy and therefore they don’t do it often?

Is transforming painful?

Take Beast Boy from Young Justice/ Teen Titans/ various other things as an example:

He can transform into a lot of animals, yes, but they’re all obviously green and unnatural, making it difficult for him to blend in with other animals. his means that his shapeshifting would be most used for attack than for disguise.

You need to set limits, or else your character will be all-powerful and the plot won’t be all that intriguing to the readers; they know that the protagonist will win, so they won’t bother to really get invested in the story.

3. There are many forms of shape-shifters. Just because the mainstream media is all about werewolves with sixteen packs that can cut glass doesn’t mean that you have to make werewolves only

Did you know that technically, a werewolf is just a subdivision of were-creatures?

The prefix “were/wer” means “man” and is usually followed by the name of an animal, ANY animal, to imply that the man (or woman) is transforming into it.

Therefore, there could be werecats, weretigers, werelions, wereunicorns, and were[insert plural name of creature here].

You should really look up the different kinds of shifters from all different cultures and regions of the world. They’re actually quite amazing!

Here’s a list of some of my favorite shapeshifter creatures (Note that these are not all of the shapeshifters, just my personal favorites some of which I feel needed to be represented more in literature):

-Were[insert name of big cat here]

-Werewolf

-Skinwalkers

-Animaguses(Animagi?) (don’t use these they’re JK Rowling’s I just really like Animagi)

-Generic, run-of-the-mill shapeshifters

-Were creatures that are actually just the creature trying to masquerade as a human/ a creature that has a human form

-Transforming into huge gruesome monsters (it’s good shit 10/10)

4. You don’t have to describe the full transformation every single time. The first time is enough.

Readers don’t want to have to go through long, agonizing paragraphs of description every time your character changes, especially if they change during a battle. They don’t want the bloody, gory action to be disrupted by a description of a transformation that they’ve read a hundred times before.

If you truly want to describe the transformation more than once, though I highly advise against it, never describe it more than three times, and make sure to make it unique every single time. If you don’t think you can do that, just describe it once.

You should, however, describe the symptoms that come with transforming. Is it painful? Is it uncomfortable? Does it feel incredible because it makes the character feel a rush of power? Gimme the deets, but not all of them.

Things that happen during transformation that you can describe:

Painful

- Fur/scales growing (stinging and itchy)

- Bones breaking and reorganizing, as well as new ones appearing and old ones transforming

- Muscles ripping and elongating/shrinking

- Fingernails/toenails turning into claws

Invigorating

- Heightened sense of sight/smell/hearing

- Adrenaline rush

- More power/strength/speed

Hope this helped!

{ The Prince of Egypt } Aaron + favorite physical feature
          ↳ hands

bonus fact: “aaron’s animator noticed that jeff goldblum uses his hands a lot when he speaks, and decided to make that one of aaron’s mannerisms.” (x)

I never thought I’d be the kind of person to say I can’t be friends with an ex… but I can’t be friends with you.
I’m sorry – I just can’t.
I cannot sit across from you at a table and not want to reach for your hand. I can’t talk with you about mundane everyday things that don’t matter and not want to tell you that I love you. Nothing upsets me more than the thought of ‘acting casual’ around you when I am so completely head over heels in love with you it’s just not funny.
I’m sorry.
I can’t pretend like we never happened or suffer the indignity of being downgraded to ‘just friends’. I used to be the person you told all your secrets to… how can you expect me to sit there and talk about the weather!? As it stands, I can’t even see a picture of you and not get emotional… there’s just no way I can be in the same room as you.
I’m sorry… You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met and it kills me to lose you from my life forever – but it’s nothing compared to slow agonizing death of being close to you when I know in my heart I’m no longer close to you at all…

“Unpredictable” Langst Fic(trigger warning)

I received a request by a close friend to make this prompt into a Klangst fic, and I can only say that this is the best that I can do. “I’m Sorry” part 3 will be up sometime by tomorrow, probably in the late afternoon. I know you guys want more but unfortunately, I’m still working on it. I’m sorry I swear I’ll get it up soon and I’ll put all my effort into making the story enjoyable. If you guys want to see Klangst I’ll do my best to keep that a part of the fic and if I don’t get it right or don’t live up to your expectations I am so sorry. I’ll try really hard to make you all happy. I swear.

They had no idea how many fighters there would really be.

They had underestimated Lotor’s ability to take lead of the war, while his father was recuperating from the severe beating Voltron had given him.

Overall, Voltron was outnumbered. They were unable to keep up with the multitude of jets, which seemed to be a never ending fleet.

Shiro pushed them to the brink, and finally, they were able to take out enough ships to give them an opening.

Hunk used his bayard to form his shoulder cannon, taking out the energy canons on a majority of the warships, forcing Lotor to pull back his fleet and retreat.

But not before Blue was shot by a fleeing fighter jet.

Somehow, the laser cut through Blue, shattering through her cockpit and nailing Lance in the back. Blue lurched forward, feeling Lance’s pain.

The right side of Lance’s torso was burned. The team was so wrapped up in the exhilaration of victory, they didn’t notice Lance choking back pain filled sobs. He suppressed them, and began laughing along with the others, ignoring his own agony. They didn’t need to deal with the knowing he was hurt when they were so happy. He felt blood trickle down his chin, and he knew he had bashed his head against the controls when Blue lurched.

Lance shook his head, feeling just how quickly the pain overcame him. He choked, but swallowed back any form of distress.

“We did it!” Pidge exclaimed excitedly, whooping victoriously along with Hunk’s victory dance.

“Nice job team!” Shiro complemented proudly, smiling as he turned his lion around, flying back towards the castle, and a well earned resting period. Allura smiled proudly at the paladins, her face popping up on the intercoms in front of each paladin.

Lance’s attempts at concealing his pain were in vain. Allura noticed almost immediately.

“Well done paladins! Come quickly so that we may celebrate! I’ll open the hall of lions once you are all directly outsi- Lance?!” Allura’s worried tone sliced through the intercoms and all the paladins’ focuses were on Lance’s screen in a split second.

The paladins all periodically enlarged the screen.

Keith choked.

“Hey guys! W-we did it!” Lance laughed uneasily, trying to cover his wound. But blood was more difficult to conceal, as was the immediate agony of moving, blossoming across his face.

Shit- everyone get back to the castle! Lance- do you think you can make it in time?!” Shiro shouted, terror of losing Lance overcoming him. He had never sweared in front of the others before, and that was enough to send them into a panic. Pidge and Hunk were on the verge of tears, and Keith’s anxiety held him teetering over the edge of oblivion that was his mind.

Lance grinned, but slowly, his eyes shut, and his head fell forward.

Anxiety bloomed in everyone’s chest, and Shiro was that much closer to a panic attack.

“Lance?! ” Shiro all but screamed, leaning forward in his cockpit chair, seemingly trying to reach out to Lance through the screen. Blue started moving, but Lance, seemingly lifeless, did not move an inch on the intercoms.

“The blue lion is piloting itself?!” Pidge exclaimed, confusion and dread evident in their tone. Blue sped towards the Castle.

“Follow Blue! Hurry!” Keith shouted, turning Red around swiftly, immediately flooring it. He flew to the Castle at an alarming speed, with Pidge and Hunk right behind him. Shiro, shaken from the sudden realization Lance might not have made it, was a little slow on catching up with the others. He shook the thoughts away in denial.

He has to make it. He has got to be okay.’ Shiro thought, speeding after the others.

Blue all but smashed through the hangar doors, much to Allura’s shock, and flew directly to her landing point.

Blue landed safely, careful not to shake too much, intending not to hurt Lance any further, and once she had, she turned all her energy towards waking him.

Wake, my Blue paladin. Your teammates need you.’  Blue nudged Lance into consciousness, and he reluctantly complied. He shook his head, attempting to shake away the feelings of agony. Blue supported his attempts by forcing positive emotions into his thought process.

He felt exceedingly better, and was even capable enough to rise out of his piloting chair, afterwards making his way to the cockpit’s exit.

Keith spun Red into landing position, opened the cockpit, and booked it, running towards Lance as fast as he possibly could.

“Lance?! Lance?!” Keith, Hunk, and Pidge all ran to the Blue Lion, their feet slamming into the cold metal floors of the Castle. Blue’s eyes dimmed, and Keith was on the verge of a mental break down.

“Please be okay, please be okay…” Keith heard Shiro mutter, finally landing Black into the hangar and hopping out quickly. Shiro caught up almost immediately, soon followed by a worried Coran and a panicked Allura.

“Not Lance… Anyone but Lance.” Hunk whispered to himself breathlessly, tears threatening to spill. Keith tried his best to keep his mind from wandering to dark thoughts about Lance’s state.

They skidded to a halt. Blue’s cockpit was opening.

Out stumbled Lance, and Keith tricked himself into feeling relief- until he saw the blood.

There was so much of it.

The crimson substance trickled out of his mouth, down his arm, and there was blood all across his torso. His forehead had blood dripping down the right side of it. His usually soft brown hair was a tangled mess, matted against his head due to all the blood.

Lance?” Keith’s voice cracked.

Lance looked so pale. His knees were shaking. His breathing was uneven. His blue eyes looked so empty. And yet, he still managed to pull off his winning smile without a hitch. Keith’s stomach lurched.

“Yup. In all my wounded, bloody glory.” Lance chuckled, his expression littered with pain.

“We need to get you to the healing pods.” Keith ran forward, and as soon as he got close enough, he lifted Lance into his arms bridal style. Lance’s breathing hitched, but when Keith looked down at him, he smirked.

“Who knew the hotheaded Keith could be such a gentleman?” Lance chuckled, and Keith almost blushed.

“I don’t need a pick up line right now Lance- I need you to keep your eyes open and stay alive.” Keith lifted an eyebrow, lifting one arm slightly. Lance gasped, an agonizing pain shooting through his spine from the faint movement.

Keith stared down at the agony ridden Lance, and finally took a good look at the wound.

His stomach lurched uncomfortably.

Lance had been shot with one of Zarkon’s lasers.

Lance was dying.
