How long have you been painting? I’ve painted throughout my life, as most
people do, but I didn’t really start painting until 2011 just after I finished
my degree in Art History. I read Rilke’s “Letters to a Young Poet”
several times and felt it suddenly imperative that I quit my job, move to
Europe and do nothing but paint or else kill myself. So I did and this is
what’s happened. I’m still alive, thankfully.
What is your approach to painting? I try not to think about it. I consider it to
be something like a compulsive habit, or necessity, like physical exercise. It
is just what I need to. It is on to do as it is to be. The approach is simply
that I will do it as often as I can. The idea is freedom, really.
Favourite music? Nicki
Minaj, Drake, Kanye etc
Something close to your heart? Idk a lot of things, all I can think about right now is smoking cigs and my sweet boyf, both of which I love dearly ;)

I just found my Year 12 HSC major artwork (I did it about 4 years ago). It’s really big! These are two little panels from it.
There is no real meaning behind it. I just based it off a song I loved at the time, The Lee Shore by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, from their live album. I drew the imagery and wrote the lyrics onto it.
