Abuse Of Power

From Theron Shan’s Instagram Account:
u dont say?!?! someone hacked into the cantina’s holoterminals & made them say “lana is a lying liar that lies (& thinks force lightning serial killers r sxy jfyi)”???  would i really do such a thing? im offended that you would even think that. obviously that was perpetrated by future me as revenge for how awesome i am

Tbh at everyone who said to send them music, I will abuse this power.

Nah tbh I just need people to talk about Residente, because seriously, how dare this man rhyme so many words without repeating a single one.

The man has a 12 minutes long song without a chorus like??!??!?! how?!?!?!?

The El Masters fighting over reader?

“You had them yesterday, Solace.  It’s my turn.”

“Yeah, well, we shouldn’t take turns like they’re a gaming console!  They’re a person- aren’t you?” Solace glances in your direction and tacks on a question, but you don’t get a chance to answer before Denif walks in and glares at Solace and Ebalon.

“Both of you, stop.  I need them with me today.”

“Abuse of power,” Ventus chirps, whirling in behind Denif and scooping you up in his arms.  “I haven’t spent the day with this cutie for about a week.  Don’t I get a turn?”

“Guys,” you finally manage.  “What’s this about?”

Solace, Ebalon, Ventus, and Denif ignore you and keep arguing. It’s Rosso who answers from his lounging position on the couch.

“The Harmony Ceremony’s today.  Y’know, that boring thing where all of us have to stand up on our little pedestals for hours and look important.  Whoever’s with you, though, has a ready-made excuse to get out of that.”  He pauses and winks.  “So… I did you a favor by telling you, want to do me a favor by letting me escape tedium?”

It’s going to be a long day.

you know that trope in shows or movies where the evil character is in captivity and starts talking to the Heroes to try and mess with their minds, and starts analysing them going “face it you’ll never be good enough” … “you try to act tough but inside you’re broken” … and the Hero gets really rattled and upset.

well i want a scene like that where it doesn’t work

Villain: “You have a darkness inside of you. You try to hide it, but it’s there–”

Hero: “Yeah that’s the depression, there’s pills for that.”

Villain: “You try every day to make your mother proud. Even after death, it still haunts you. But she’ll never be proud of.”

Hero: “Well yeah, she was an emotionally abusive narcissist, she was never proud of anything I did, what else is new.”

Villain: “You put on a good show, but deep inside I know you don’t feel worthy.”

Hero: “I know, man, I’ve been trying to work on that in therapy.”

Like… give me characters who know they’re mentally ill and traumatised who can’t have it used against them because they’ve fully accepted it

More than half of Americans believe Trump is abusing his power

  • More than half of American voters believe Trump is abusing his powers, according to a new poll conducted by Quinnipiac University.
  • The poll showed that 54% of respondents believe the president is abusing his role as commander in chief.
  • According to the results, 55% of voters believe Trump fired Comey to disrupt the investigation into Russian ties.
  • 55% of respondents believe that Trump asked Comey to drop the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
  • “President Donald Trump remains mired in dreadful mid-30s approval numbers and the red flags that are popping up tell an even darker story,” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement. Read more (5/24/17)

yeah but do abusers have to struggle with long term trauma after what they did? do abusers have to walk around carrying the indescribable guilt and shame and humiliation on their backs? do abusers suffer thru panic and paranoia and anxiety of that happening to them again? do abusers doubt their every feeling, action and thought blaming themselves for everything? do abusers doubt their own humanity, validity of their perceptions, the importance of their side of the story? no? well we should make them. they deserve it.

yall wanna hear something cool and completely unrelated to this blog, okay theres all these different sets of numbers right, and all these sets of numbers are infinite

So the number sets kinda look like this,

you have

a [all the real numbers]

a + bi [the complex numbers which include i the imaginary number which is really just another way of looking at how algebra can function (we can now take the square root of negative numbers), which is a different take on algebra where we simply had the set of real numbers]

and then you get

a + bi + cj + dk [quaternions, which is the next step up from the complex numbers in algebra, and are a new set of numbers that have a new way of looking at algebra, and are also infinite]

So about the complex numbers, thats numbers that include i, the ~imaginary number~ which is a terrible name for it, it’s not imaginary, just a completely different bit of algebra that doesnt work with what was previously thought to be algebraic laws and rules. Because before we had i you couldn’t take the square root of a negative number, because thats just not how the real numbers worked. It changed how algebra functioned with this new set of numbers.

You can just change the set of rules for math for it to work, by creating something new, as long as it all logically follows.

Anyway, once you get past the complex numbers you hit this cool thing called quaternions, which is another set of numbers, except in this set of numbers, which are also infinite, they don’t follow all of the rules of algebra we were previously taught to believe, in this set of numbers we don’t have the commutativity property,

[commutativity property is where a*b = c, and b*a = c]

without this it means if you multiply numbers together together in different orders, you get different answers. Which isn’t how any of the other previous sets of numbers work in algebra.

in regular algebra which works with all those numbers up to the complex numbers: 2*3 = 6, and 3*2 = 6

In quaternions: j*k = i, but k*j = -i

So with quaternions

i^2 = -1

j^2 = -1

k^2 = -1

But you know whats wild about this, in this set of numbers:

i*j*k = -1

And the order does matter in this set of numbers.

because in this set of algebra

i*j = k  BUT heres the wild part j*i = -k

we can see it again:

j*k = i, BUT k*j = -i

When you multiply j*k you get i, when you multiply k*j you get -i, which isn’t how any of the other number sets behind this one in algebra work, isn’t that wild?

There’s a part of math where basic definitions of algebra don’t exist for these types of numbers to exist, and the further you keep going into new numbers, the more fundamental rules of algebra you start losing for the number sets to exist.

and this guy just came up with it walking across a bridge

  • Use of transphobic slurs (the t slur)
  • Kissed an underage fan without asking

She didn’t apologize and tried to defend herself by saying:

“I called her to the front, asked her if she was single, leaned down for a kiss, and she reciprocated!”

She never asked for a kiss, only asked if she was single.

Then she tweeted:

Then deleted the tweet.

  • Made fun of someone for their job
  • I don’t need to explain this one
