I’m counting this experiment a success! What I started with and what I was going for (left) versus what I actually made (right). I’ll still add some pearl and rhinestone embellishments before it’s done, but I’m happy with this prototype.

This is 30+ little pieces of lace reassembled into the shape I needed. I mounted them onto netting using fabric glue to prevent fraying. It’s painstaking work, but still much more efficient than hand-beading or embroidery.

I wanted these decorative panels to resemble professionally-made lace that would be used on a fancy gown in real life, rather than the simple outline depicted in the reference art. Without the equipment, expertise, or help to design my own lace from scratch, I chose the next best thing: cannibalizing pieces of lace that *were* professionally-made. …Now I just have to make seven more! 😅

Homage to my ultimate favorite character in the cosmos, and I’m actually quite proud of how this turned out! ^-^ I might make a few slight adjustments, since I don’t think I quite like how sharp the streaks in her cloak are :/ But for the most part, just another doodle in honor of my bae. <3

Let this sink in for a moment. In a franchise dedicated to the story of Good triumphing over evil, of Light overpowering Darkness; we are given the chance to finally play as the Dark Lord himself

For the first time in the franchise history we finally get to see Ganondorf in all his brutal glory. His heartless banter towards his enslaved allies. His thirst for blood and destruction. His utter contempt for life.

He is no longer a enemy boss with a moveset that we exploit. He is an actual character. Someone we use and assist in his journey to take over the triforce.

For the first 2/3s of the game we are the good guys. Fightinf to save familes and friends. Suddenly we are the Dark Lord. The triforce of Power. The bane of heroes…

And we actually BREAK the bodies and spirits of these heroes we cherish so. We beat them into submission several times as the story leads into its final chapters…

This is not Mario Rpg where we play Bowser as one of the good guys. This is playing one of the most recognizable villains in gaming history as he butchers the title characters in open combat…

A bold move but one that sets Hyrule Warriors high on my list of favorite Zelda games…
