Are you running correctly? I recently posted a video on walking, enforcing a soft heel strike. When you run or sprint, your striking mechanics should be from the ball of the foot. We strike from the ball of the foot for a sprint because it allows us to better utilize the calf muscle and efficiently drive from the hip/glute amongst other reasons. If you notice you dump your weight into your heel when you run, your losing a lot of force production.
