This was probably a very bad idea. But then again there was a long list of bad ideas that were a lot worse than this one. Sabrina sat on her window seat, cigarette in hand, window cracked, and the phone laying in her lap. Why shouldn’t she be allowed to just hang out with whoever she wanted? She seemed to have a lot in common with Caspian. Well from what she would actually reveal about herself. There was no part of her that was willing to trust another guy with her past, and it seemed like Caspian didn’t mind at all. The fact that there was now an empty flask laying on the floor by the window had absolutely nothing to do with this rash decision
She looked out the window and took one last drag of her cigarette before she put it out. Now she had the perfect excuse. Quickly trying to type out all the letters and fumbling around with the phone in the process she typed out the message. “Hey I’m out of cigarettes. Do you have another pack? Just bring it up to my room, doors open.” After making sure that she hadn’t made any stupid spelling errors she hit send and sat the phone in her lap.
Maybe it probably wasn’t the best idea for her to be tipsy and inviting him over. But then again all fucks about that had gone out the window with the cigarette buds and ashes. Desperately trying not to trip over her own two feet she ran over to the mirror and made sure she looked semi-decent. She wasn’t really expecting too much to happen, but then again she wasn’t about to be unprepared.
Work kept Claire incredibly busy. Some weeks went by incredibly fast, while others seemed to drag on for quite a while. She loved her job immensely, but eight shows a week could take a lot out of her. Luckily, she was provided a day off, and after sleeping in, she generally tried to do at least one productive thing. That often didn’t happen, but today she had an incentive: company. Daniel’s company, to be precise. It had been a little while since she’d seen him thanks to Oklahoma and his new role in Bare, and so she was left to just hope for the best.
After telling him she had food, she went to verify she actually did. She was in luck, because even if she didn’t have enough to make a feast, there was still a good amount of the stuff in her fridge and pantry. The last thing she needed was to have a guest get hungry and then have to send them down the street to find something. Though, realizing what she was saying, Claire told herself to calm down. This wasn’t an audition or opening night or anything like that. It was just having a friend to her apartment. Even if she really liked Daniel. Luckily, before she had time to think over much else, her buzzer sounded, and she went over to press the button and unlock the door so Daniel could get inside.
