As the number of young people who identify as trans or non-binary has increased, along with a growth in the use of cross-sex hormones to aid medical and surgical transitioning, so too has the conversation about what gender-nonconforming adults can do if they want kids. At the moment, harvesting eggs or sperm and storing them before a medical or surgical transition seems to be the preferred and recommended way to go for prospective trans parents, but the process isn’t entirely free of complication.
oh just gonna throw this out there for any potential nerdy followers:
I think that the characters of Bucky and Steve Rogers in the Marvel universe remind me a lot of Eragon and Murtagh of the Inheritance cycle books.
physically, eragon is described as having brown/fair hair while murtagh has darker hair. In the movie they are further contrasted with Eragon being portrayed blonde, and Murtagh with black hair.
characteristically, Eragon is the main hero, a soldier, someone who was weak, but had power thrust upon him. Like Captain America, right?
now Murtagh, was initially eragon’s friend (later u find out he’s his brother) but he is captured by the enemy (galbatorix) and presented with equal (albeit unnatural- magical steroids basically) power. He is mentally unstable, he never wanted to fight this battle. LIKE BUCKY RIGHT??? now in the end, murtagh teams up with eragon, but he leaves after the enemy is defeated, to heal himself and right his wrongs.
I woke up this morning completely disappointed. Not only did it not snow like it was supposed to…at all, (plenty of rain though), but that also meant I had to go to work. I had hoped that I’d get to stay home from work and enjoy an nice run through some snow. What a let down. Complete mother nature fail!
When I finally got home from work and went for my run the rain was dissipating which was nice. It was still really cold though and with some soreness still lingering from Sunday’s long run, warming up took a little longer than usual. I made it through the run though and still finished with a decent overall pace.
On an unrelated note I finally heard back about the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile tryout and I did not make the military team. Apparently to be on the military team to represent this base you have to actually work on this base…not just live here. Not to worry though, there were 14 entries into the race and the military team is only comprised of 5 entries. I secured an individual entry into the race and will still represent the base, just not in the same capacity I would have had I been on the military team. I’m really looking forward to my first DC road race.
She hadn’t meant to go shopping, but when she found herself at the mall, Frannie generally wandered into clothing stores anyway. That left her without a second opinion, however, so she wandered out of the dressing room and asked the first person she saw. “Hey, what do you think of this dress? I need an opinion before I buy it or I’ll never wear it.”
