the boys in husky situations continue to be the rowdiest and most entertaining group of drivers i have ever watched. the assortment of s-chassis all take a similar and subtle styling, but are all different in parts, powerplants (dual cam ka, s14 sr20, s13 sr20, rwd converted pulsar gti-r sr20, rb20), and gearing. yet, no matter what order they run in, they always keep a tight formation. I hear a lot of people make claims to banging doors but watching them drive its far from the case (hitting eachother and spinning/losing drift doesnt count). the huskies can talk the talk and walk the walk. if you want to get in some serious tandems, head to vancouver island, but don’t be afraid to trade some paint.
the seven car tandems of husky situations during the team tandem comp at the drift union invitational were exciting enough to get them into the final battle versus business casual. warren, nick, and derek were consistent enough to make it there but they had an ace up their sleeve, that I’m not sure they even knew they had, that ended up taking the win. in their final run warren, in the te72 sedan, pulled a pass on nick (s13) on the first initiation that i was sure was going to cause an accident, just barely gliding between nick and derek (in the corolla wagon). the transitioned into the next corner and warren pulled a second pass on derek, with all three still holding formation. when they transitioned into the last corner nick pulled a double pass to take the lead into the end of their run. it was some team burst-mind blowing-jaw dropping-shit. i really hope someone got it on video good.
