Hey! Thank you for your input! I definitely agree that the next generation will be more art literate, but I don’t think increased access will take away from the way art resonates or creates experiences for people who love it. I think in the past, and still in the present, people have trouble relating to art, especially in person. But because we now have access to art in places like Tumblr, a new level of rhetorical value is opened, and is creating new levels to experience and relate to art. I would say, in a lot of ways, next generation art lovers are able to connect with art, because they can bring it into their personal spaces (via Internet/phones).
I understand what you’re thinking of though - that the culture industry will destroy the value of anything that is replicated too much?
