7 kara

Concept: Kara and Lena’s friendship growing, they learn each others secrets, they have keys to the others apartments, they start having dinner together regularly, Lena started subconsciously referring to Kara’s apartment as home, “I’ll be home for dinner around 7″, Kara starts keeping Lena’s favorite foods in their apartment, Kara starts subconsciously referring to her apartment as Lena’s home, “I wont be home until 8 Alex, but Lena will be home by 7:30″, Kara reminds Lena to eat and go to her doctor appointments, they cuddle at night and end up falling asleep on the couch until Kara carried them to bed….

And their best friends, they tell each other they love each other, the know the other’s hopes and fears and secret guilts, but they don’t realize that either of them have even looked at another person romantically in months, they dont think about other girls/boys/etc, they’ve fallen into a relationship without realizing it

so when the hugs and cuddles turn to cheek kisses and hand-holding and the cheek kisses and hand-holding turn into spooning and the brushing of lips and the spooning and brushing of lips turns into touching and kissing they don’t really notice and they don’t comment because it was all so natural. They fell in love with their best friend and nothing seemed as easy as that.

supergirl season 1 appreciation week
day 7: free choice (kara learning to manage her anger)

If I had thrown a chair or, my God, if I had thrown a napkin, it would have been all over the papers. It would have been professional and cultural suicide.

Then what do you do?

You need to find a release.

Starting Tomorrow on Supergirl Virtual Season!

We’re back from hiatus as Cat and Kara get more than they bargained for on a trip to Metropolis.

Alex must trust Lucy to defend Maggie when the NCPD wants their detective back.

And the superfriends learn more about M’gann.

Don’t miss episode 7 - Splash by @fictorium, @inspectorboxer, and @zennie-fic! Starting tomorrow on Supergirl Virtual Season!

Special thanks to talented @reginalovesemma for her amazing gifsets. Give her a follow or show her some love in her tumblr ask!

Lena Luthor being brought back as a series regular is important for me. For several reasons:

1) She is a strong, bold woman who is the CEO of her own company.

2) She is incredibly smart and she has never used her appearance to get ahead.

3) She is open to change and respects ideas that are different to her own.

4) She has almost died on a few different occasions but each time she comes out fighting.

5) She was brought up with disgusting, xenophobic views but she actively goes against her family and all that she knows because she isn’t like them.

6) She has been a great friend and provided wonderful moral support for Kara.

7) She is hardworking and driven. She worked into the night just so she could help a friend.

8) She saved the entire alien race and single handedly took down her mother who’s plan was to kill all aliens.

9) She is a victim of emotional abuse and she is constantly fighting, she is constantly battling with it but still remains good despite her horrible past.

10) She is played by Katie McGrath who is a very talented and giving actress. Who has given us such wonderful, raw emotions and scenes that both mend and break my heart.

So I am excited for Lena’s return for a lot of reasons. I am excited to see her bond with the Superfriends, I am excited to see her having drinks with Maggie, I’m excited to see her friendships develop and I am excited to see her company thriving, to see what she faces, to gain more backstory. I am excited to see more of a character who has been similar struggles to myself and has come out on top. I am excited for Lena Luthor.

anonymous asked:

What do you think about Alex ditching Kara's Earth day for the concert with Maggie? I do think Kara realizing that Alex can't prioritize Kara 24/7 anymore is necessary, but I kinda wish it had been a sister night that Alex wanted to reschedule instead. I mean, Alex and Kara seem way closer than me and my sister, yet I can't imagine ditching my sis's birthday for any reason, but I don't do romantic relationships (so I have no exp with this exact sort of situation) so maybe I'm overreacting.

Okay, so as a grown adult with a kid and a career, who’s got grown adult siblings who also have kids and careers and who live hundreds of miles away from me: familial closeness in adulthood takes work, just like friendship and romantic closeness do.

Was the conflict in 2x11 out of character, or too extreme? Not at all. Alex didn’t go out of her way to be unavailable; Maggie went out of her way to do something special for Alex that had the ripple effect of conflicting with Kara’s plans. Alex was honest about that and offered to compromise. However, and this is a bigger thing that has been an issue all season: Kara never communicated properly to Alex. She didn’t ask first. She assumed that Alex wouldn’t have anything else to do, because that’s how it’s always been. That was a mistake. But Alex screwed up, too: she didn’t talk to Kara about what she wanted to do, despite knowing it was a meaningful day for her, and she also didn’t mention to Maggie in advance that Kara’s birthday was coming up and that they normally spend it together.

So we have two problems:

  1. Kara has never learned how to navigate her life as a fully independent person, because she’s never had to before. And she’s sucking at it.
  2. Alex has never learned how to balance competing priorities, because she’s never allowed herself to have them before. And she’s sucking at it.

Being a functional adult who can juggle the conflicting needs of your family, friends, career, hobbies, and everything else takes practice. Cat even told Kara this in S1 – you can’t do everything all at once, or with the same level of intensity. You have to make choices, and you will make mistakes. The important part, though, is to recognize those mistakes and learn from them so that you make better choices in the future.

So, these are pretty normal adult-sibling growing pains. Kara and Alex will figure it out. All the pieces are there within the story we’ve been given so far.

My Wishes for Supergirl Season Three

1. A large Sanvers wedding where Kara Danvers is Alex’s maid of honor.

2. SuperCorp becoming canon or at least Kara and Lena having lots of best friends moments.

3. Lots more Danvers sisters scenes.

4. The return of sister movie nights. Maybe a couple with Maggie present.

5. Superfamily scenes (Kara, Alex, and J’onn)

6. Alex Danvers confronting Clark Kent about how he abandoned Kara when she needed him the most.

7. Eliza, Kara, Maggie, and Alex eating Thanksgiving as a family.

8. Cat Grant returning as one of the main cast for Supergirl.
