For the past couple of seasons Yuzuru Hanyu’s 3A+1Lo+3S has been one of the most beautiful 3+1Lo+3 sequences in business and the entry to it in his 2015-2016 Seimei free has taken it to another level.

This sequence is from December 9 practice at Grand Prix Final in 2015, almost all of it was shot at six frames per second (except the last three frames, those were at slightly slower) and I used every single frame.

Please show some love if you’d like to see more of those next season!

This is the second of my sequences from day 1 at the Grand Prix Final in Barcelona and this is a pretty messy one on my part. It’s a little out of focus and this 3A in Hanyu’s Chopin short program was basically in the corner that was farthest away from me, hence this sequence, much like Mao’s 3Lz edge special I posted some time ago, is cropped and doesn’t look too well if you start nitpicking.

However, this was a beautiful jump with a great flow out of it, so I kept as much of it as possible.

The picture you’re seeing above is actually combined from 13 separate photos taken at 6 frames per second, so all the action there took just a little more than 2 seconds.

It’s been a lot of work, so I hope you’ve enjoyed this. If you want to post this somewhere outside of Tumblr, please drop me a note either on Tumblr or Twitter.
