63 years later

I’m surprisingly captivated by The Red Shoes, playing on the Turner Classic Movie channel (TCM, channel 60 in RochesterNY) as we speak. It’s a beautiful British fairy-tale feature, filmed in 1948, about a woman finding that dreams do come true, who manages to live out her dreams as a dancer in a mainstream theater production. Even though the film was made so long ago, it still seems so far-ahead of it’s time, even being now that it’s 63 years later. This film is a must-see for both dancers and avid performers, but even if you’re neither one of those, The Red Shoes is still an amazing movie to check off your list!
