Pop-Pop Poplins!

P-F Sneakers. Mademoiselle. May 1964

The Posture Foundation insole was patented by well-known tire (and canvas footwear pioneer), BF Goodrich in 1937. The shoes were commonly referred to as P-F, and P-F Flyers were a pretty popular brand, especially in the ‘50s and ‘60s. By 1972, BF Goodrich left the shoe business and was sold to the parent company of Converse, but due to legalities, the brand was untouched from 1975 until 2001, when New Balance purchased PF & relaunched it in 2005.
