Tikki Taylor and her lifelong partner comedian John Newman were best known in Melbourne for establishing Tikki and John’s Music Hall in Exhibition St.Taylor debuted on stage at the age of six, landing musical comedy parts in her teens and appearing on early TV shows such as Bobby Limb’s Sound of Music.

She met Newman in a celebrated production of South Pacific and together they pioneered a daring idea for 1960s Melbourne: dinner theatre. Tikki and John’s played to capacity crowds for 20 years and Newman Entertainments carries on the tradition, operating the Dracula’s comedy shows.  Tikki died in 2011 aged 83.
