50 gb

youtube

Been working on this for a while.. some more sleepless nights, but i think it was worth it.

I do hope you guys like! If you speed up (1.25) probably sounds better, I prefer slow songs, chimelovania was slow due to that too!

I just had to make them fight, i needed to understand Nectos fighting style a bit more and actually this helped too!

Probably shouldn’t do many after effects work, it makes files 50 gb worth QWQ…..

I’m rambling too much..

Enjoy!

what is the honest to god point of physical releases of PS4 games if it installs nearly 20-50 gb worth of shit anyway??? i bought a 200 gb ps4 since i dont rly buy digital games aside from some psx games that barely are a gb and my PS3 is a fat 80 gb and the only issue i get with it is when i have like okami hd and smthing else installed.

i have the same amount of ps3 games as ps4 and it wont even let me boot a new game on it since i apparently have too much installed on it wtf?

Wait, jax, if the Lioden staff wants random pie apps to be a thing, why don't they make random $25 worth of GB and $50+ selected just like the personality changers? It's that simple.

They already are a thing. I’m trying to make them NOT a thing. And see, that works fine too!

Lets be honest tho. Staff would keep random piebald apps at 50$ and probably make choosable ones 75$ or something.

Hi, i checked your FAQ because I was looking for advice. I'm new to this while trading thing. So I read your post about what file sharing sites to use and saw that post was from 2013 and I was wondering if your opinions have changed. I was thinking about using google drive because mega limits the download rate and I can't even download 2 files when doing trades. Any additional advice? Have a great day and thank you! :)

Well, the big disadvantage of Google Drive is that it only gives you 15 GB of space. There might be ways of adding to it, of course, but it doesn’t compare to MEGA, which gives you 50 GB for a free account. I know Google Drive also disables downloads temporarily if something is downloaded too often, though I don’t imagine that will happen much when it comes to musical bootlegs.

The limit for MEGA also seems to vary quite a bit. I remember my limit was capped at 6 GB for downloading, so I could usually download at least one act of a video, and sometimes the full thing. Others seem to have it much lower, though. I’ve also found that using the program MEGA Downloader has helped to bypass some of those limits. (For example, I think I downloaded a 13 GB file once using that.) MEGA does have other bugs (temporary errors and the like), but overall, it’s still the go-to site for me and many other traders.

Hmm, what else is there to update…

4Shared is really not popular anymore; I haven’t even bothered keeping up with it and I’m not aware of many of it’s changes. A lot of people seem to have trouble downloading from it, and it only gives 15 GB of space when I used it, so it’s just not worth it to many traders. I mainly use it nowadays as a backup for some of my files.

MediaFire has also changed: it now only gives you 10 GB of space for a free account, though accounts made before they implemented that change still retain 50 GB of space (I still have one account that’s like that). It will allow you to increase it if you do certain things (stuff like, you know, inviting someone to make an account, or sharing the site on Facebook, promotional actions basically), but it’s not by a whole lot, usually 1 to 2 GB each. On the other hand, the size of the file you can upload has increased a lot; I know you can upload 1 GB files now, but I haven’t tested its limits.

And SendSpace is basically the same.

WeTransfer is around, but I don’t recommend it, the main reason being that it deletes files after only 7 days if you have a free account. An upgraded account saves the files for four weeks, which still pales when compared to MEGA or MediaFire, which will basically keep your files indefinitely unless they violate copyright or something.

Thanks for the question! I’ll add this updated post to my FAQ.

In terms of data, how big are files usually kept when they're made for 11''x17'' sized prints? (while using SAI or Photoshop). And is 3375px by 5175px the recommended size (with 300px/inch resolution) for these size of prints? The given list of pixel resolutions on this blog seem to be small.

Kiriska: My 11x17 print files (300 dpi highest quality JPGs) range from 3-25 MB depending on complexity and color. A BW print is smaller than a flat muted color print is smaller than a painted brightly colored print.

Some printers prefer or recommend TIFF and PDF as lossless file formats, but I’ve not found the quality difference to be significant on the final product in most cases, and JPGs are so much easier to deal with. TIFFs and PDFs are more similar in size to original SAI/PSD files, which, for me, can be 50 MB to 5 GB depending on layers. <_<

Your dimensions are correct for a 11x17 print at 300 dpi with 0.125″ bleed.

I didn’t write the dimensions given in this post, but the dimensions given there are for 150 dpi files, which can be suitable for some types of printing. You probably don’t need 300 dpi files if you’re printing on a rougher surface, like a vinyl banner.

Given the print size and pixel dimensions, you can determine dpi by dividing the latter by the former. For example, from that post:

8.5″ x 11″ = 1275 pixels x 1650 pixels

1275px / 8.5″ = 150 dpi

1650px / 11″ = 150 dpi

If you want the dimensions at 300 dpi, multiply the print size by 300:

8.5″ x 300 dpi = 2550px

11″ x 300 dpi = 3300px

8.5″ x 11″ = 2550 x 3300 px at 300 dpi

Add 0.25″ to each dimension for a 0.125″ bleed and do the math again for your pixel size. Hope that helps!

I was going on about what I’m learning in Copyright class and how you have to have your work registered in order to successfully sue for damages, so Gill got curious and Andrew Hussie did, in fact, register Homestuck in 2013.

Much weirder discovery: When we searched ‘Homestuck’ in the US Copyright Office registry, someone has copyrighted a Homestuck Homebrew rpg character sheet, which seems… dubiously legal.
