After, January 2016: 120lb(54kg)
I took the first picture last January. I hit my highest weight, 225lb, in June 2014 and had been losing slowly since then. I got to 180lb in autumn, but I had been drifting off my low calorie diet. I ate very small portions, mostly lean cuisines and weight watchers. It was hard to stick to, and I gained 10lb over the holidays.
So that January I made a New Years Resolution. I wanted to be healthy. Two ways I could do this were by quitting smoking and changing my diet. I wanted to lose weight, but I didn’t want to feel so deprived. I had grown up vegetarian and already loved fruits and vegetables, so I decided to go vegan in 2015. No more tasteless diet foods, I ate fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and learned how to cook for myself. I always had a big salad for lunch, and I cut out processed foods. I also got a fitbit and made sure I hit my step target most days. I discovered a love of running as well, and I never thought I’d enjoy exercise so much!

I am 5'6". The photo on the right was on my vacation to Florida last summer (2012). I was 165 pounds and after this vacation I decided I MUST make a change in my lifestyle. For the rest of the summer I started eating healthier but not really exercising much. In December of 2012 I started running and exercising along with keeping a healthy diet. Now, on the left I am 127 pounds!!! I feel so much more confident about myself, more than I ever thought I would have. I don’t get sick as often and am happier, and more full of energy. I still continue to run every other day and do weights, and I am currently training for my first 5K! I still continue my healthy lifestyle and look for newer ways to improve my health every day
5’6” SW:296 CW:284. it’s only been two weeks but I’ve lost roughly 12 pounds and am so much happier already! Paleo “diet” it’s more of a lifestyle for me already and daily workouts have become my best friends. Can’t wait to keep moving forward with becoming a healthier me!
A before & during comparison of my weight loss! I’m 5'6". I’ve lost a total 55 pounds since I started my weight loss journey. It’s been a long one, but long story short it took me about 6-8 months to lose the bulk of my weight. However, I’m not finished yet! Still working towards getting a stronger, healthier body :)
5’6 Before: 216lbs Current: 146lbs Done in 16 months. Still want to get toned and lose about 10 more pounds. I’m 18 and this was done through a reduction of eating and changing to healthier food, lifting, and cardio.
Do I have officially lost 50 lbs!!!!
This has taken me over a year of working out at least 3times a week and watching what I eat. Looking back I am so thankful for all the hard work I put in that got me this far and I look forward to seeing what I am capable of.
