Summary: You’re part of the Avengers team, but that doesn’t mean you get treated the same by everyone. Your relationship with Bucky is playful, but as your past comes back to haunt you, things might change.
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Word Count: ~1000 (short, I know - next part is long!)
Warnings: Language, talk of sex, mention of murder
A/N: Hehe I’m evil. STICK WITH ME. Stuff is about to start happening. ;)
You couldn’t believe the situation you
were in. If this morning you were told you’d be underneath Bucky, about to kiss
him (and maybe more, judging by how he was looking at you), you would have
laughed and never believed it. But there you were, and there was Bucky, and you
But just before your lips could touch,
Steve’s voice rang out from downstairs.
“Y/N, Buck, we need you in the
briefing room. Now,” he called up. You knew it was important if he would
interrupt whatever he thought was going on between you, whether it was fighting
Bucky released your wrists, and pushed
off you. He surprised you by extending a hand to help you up, which you took.
But the moment you were upright, he was gone.
You wiped your forehead, taking a
breath to collect yourself before following him downstairs.
When you got there, the screen was
dark, the remote in Steve’s hand. You sat down between Nat and Wanda. You
tossed your usual look to Nat when you had something you wanted to speak to her
about. She nodded in acknowledgement, turning her attention back to the
“HYDRA has been setting up some false
scares across the world. Most recently, a bunch in the Netherlands. Until
today, when it wasn’t a scare,” Steve said, turning on the monitor. On the
screen, you saw images of a small town, with buildings on fire or reduced to
rubble, injured families in the streets. Your heart dropped to your chest when
you recognized the area.
“What are they after?” Tony asked.
“Me,” you managed to choke out.
Steve looked to you. “You don’t think
“The files? They never got them,
Steve. Not all of them, anyway,” you said. “They have to be after them again.
They know I’m a part of the Avengers now, and if they cause enough havoc, the
Avengers will act to prevent that.”
“They’re trying to draw you in, Y/N,”
Nat told you. “They’re relying on the idea that you’ll be there in response to
their activity. They don’t just want the files – they want you as well. They have to.”
You nod slowly. “I know. I expected
“We’ll leave tonight for the
Netherlands. The info they’re after is too valuable to let them have, and we
can’t let them continue to harm innocent people. But Y/N stays here.”
“Excuse me?” you asked. “The hell I do.”
“We’re not going to march you exactly
where HYDRA wants you to go,” he responded.
“I know this particular set of
assholes better than anyone here. Or did you forget where you rescued me from,
Steve?” you asked. “I know the area, I know the language. You need me, and I
need to go with you. I’m part of the team.”
Steve opened his mouth to argue with
you, but was stopped by Bucky.
“She’s right, Steve,” he told him.
You hoped the bromance between the two
of them would prove to help your case, and when you saw Steve nod reluctantly,
you knew it worked. You mouthed a “thank you” to Bucky, who didn’t seem to acknowledge
“Fine. But at no point in this trip
will you be alone. I don’t care if it’s just in your hotel room – you’re having
someone in there with you. We’re not going to take any chances.”
“You’re forcing me to be babysat?” you
asked. “I’m not defenseless, you know.”
Steve nodded. “We all know you’re not,
Y/N. But we still want to keep you safe.”
You sighed, leaning back in your
chair. It was pointless to argue with Steve when it came to discussing
someone’s safety. You just weren’t used to it being yours up for discussion.
When you went back to your room to
pack and get ready, Nat followed you, shutting the door behind you.
“So what was that between you and
Bucky?” she asked you, sitting down on your bed.
You sighed. “What do you mean?”
“Well, for one, you both had that look
about you when you stepped into the briefing room, yet the hatred was still
evident. And the fact he stood up for you despite what you’ve been doing to him
for the past few weeks,” she told you. “What happened?”
You bit your lip, debating telling her
or not. Nat noticed your internal struggle, and waited patiently for you to
come to the decision you always did when it came to telling her something
“Okay. After everyone left after
training, Bucky and I kept fighting. We started arguing about our little prank
war, and he pinned me. We were about to kiss when Steve called us down,” you
Nat smirked. “Damn. That angry sex
would have been hot.”
Your mouth fell open, and you tossed
one of your shirts at her. “Nat!”
“Y/N!” she exclaimed, imitating you.
“You can’t tell me it wouldn’t be. Although, I’m not sure it’d last long, I
mean, the dude’s been celibate for decades—”
“Okay, that’s enough,” you groaned,
pinching the bridge of your nose. “Point is, that almost happened, and I don’t
know what to do.”
She shrugged, as though it was obvious.
“Nat,” you gasped. “I…you…but…”
“You can’t say you wouldn’t, Y/N,
because you almost did. You both obviously wanted to, otherwise one or both of
you would have pulled away. I’d say get the awkwardness of avoiding it out of
the way and just kiss him,” Nat told you.
You shook your head. “I can’t. I
should just forget it ever almost happened. I’m sure he has by now, too. It
might not even matter to him.”
She rolled her eyes, obviously
disagreeing. “Whatever you think, Y/N.”
Once you were packed, you went to the garage,
storing your bag in the quinjet, buckling in. It didn’t take long for the
others to join you. True to what you thought he’d do, whenever you and Bucky
would make eye contact, it’d be broken just as quickly. You knew you were in
for a long flight.
The closer you got to the Netherlands,
the more nervous you became. You hadn’t been back since your rescue, and you
were not inclined to return ever again. But this mission required it, and so it
was what you were going to do. When you stepped off the quinjet, you couldn’t
help but notice the sense of familiarity mixed in with the anxiousness.
before HYDRA killed your parents, this was your home.
Summary: How you and one of the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer meet, and he posts about you.
A/N:I got this idea based off of looking at the boys instagrams. These will be based off either a photo or the themes of each of the boys’s instagrams. This may not be my best work, as I am just recovering from surgery, and I’m in a lot of pain, and my mind is a little foggy. I apologize if it’s not the best, but I just needed something to distract from the pain.
Disclaimer: None of these photos are mine, some are off their instagrams or off google images.
Ashton: Writing Session
“So guys, I have someone new that I would all like you to meet, Y/N Y/L/N.” John introduces you to all the boys.
“Hi, Y/N.” The boys all say in unison, almost like you’re the new substitute teacher and they are your class.
“Today, you and Ashton” John says motioning over to a boy with the polaroid camera, “will be writing together. I’d say work on the chorus on the song we were close to finishing yesterday.”
Ashton, claps his hand together, then pushes himself up and walks you over to the door, and opens it for you to walk out first. Ashton guides you into the other recording room.
Ashton walks over to one of the guitars, and sits down in front of you.
“So, here is a part of the song we finished yesterday, but I still can’t figure out the chorus and the bridge.” Ashton says before he starts playing the guitar and singing.
As Ashton plays and sings, you notice just how he gets into the music. You notice at times during the song, he closes his eyes, and there is a crease between his eyebrows in the front of head when the times of when he can’t think of what comes next.
“Try the g then to the e minor.” You say after Ashton kept pausing at the same part in the song.
After Ashton tries that, he says, “That works out perfectly. And after the e minor, change to the c chord.”
“After the C, change to an a minor…” You say. After figuring out the bridge, the chorus came easy to both of you.
After figuring out the chorus, and the bridge, you both had finished the song.
“So, we have about a half and hour to spare our writing session is over and we meet the rest of the guys. There is this sandwich truck right outside the studio, it makes the best sandwiches, you want to grab some while we wait around for the rest of the guys to finish?” Ashton offers.
“Yeah, sure.” You say smiling.
When you and Ashton get back, Ashton asks Michael to take a polaroid of you two in the studio. He says that “we always take photos with people we work with”. You didn’t think much of it, until later that day you find that you were tagged in one of Ashton’s photo with the caption, “Best partner for writing, I just wish @michaelclifford knew how to actually take a photo without cutting her head off, lol”
Calum: At the Club
You had been in LA to visit a friend, and she convinced you to go to a pre game with her, before you guys went out clubbing. You’re a social person, but you’re not much of a “hardcore partier”, so like always, you were the designated driver, or the friend holding back your other friend’s hair at the end of the night. The pre game wasn’t too bad, you ended up meeting some really good people, and was looking forward to the rest of the night. When you arrive to the club, you are immediately dragged onto the dance floor by your best friend. You love dancing, so you were out there most of the night. After your feet started to hurt, you and your friends decided to sit at the bar, to cool off for a bit.
“Here’s a drink from the gentlemen over there.” The bartender says handing you a drink, pointing over to a tall, and handsome young man.
You wave politely, but you don’t drink the drink. After a few minutes, you hear someone behind you ask, “Did you not enjoy it?”
You turn around to see the boy that ordered the drink.
“Oh no, I mean actually, I wouldn’t know. I don’t drink.” You admit.
“Oh, well that puts a twist into my plan.” He says rubbing the back of his neck.
“Plan?” You ask raising your eyebrows.
“Yes, well” He says taking a seat down next to you, “ I would send over you a drink, then that would give me an excuse to come over here to talk to you.”
“Okay, and then what would happen next?” You ask putting your head in your hands looking at him with a smirk.
“Well then, I would compliment you on your dancing, and wait until a really good song would come on, and then I would get you up to dance.”
“Pretty solid plan.” You nod. “Now, mister man with a plan, when were you ever going to plan on giving me your name?” You ask, laughing lightly.
“Calum.” He says smiling, putting his hand out for you to shake.
“Y/N.” You say shaking his hand. “Now, Calum, would you like to dance with me?” You offer standing up.
“Hell yeah.” He says.
After a night of dancing, and laughing, and just a great time, you and Calum end up taking a photo together, and exchange each of your information.
The next day, your phone is blowing up with notifications, and comments on instagram. You recognize the picture or you and Calum, in which he posted on his account captioning the photo
“I thought I partied hard, until I met this one, and the only thing she had was water.”
Luke: On Vacation in Bali
“Girls vacay here we are!” You best friend screams as you guys get to the resort in Bali.
“It’s so gorgeous.” You comment looking at the infinity pool, and how blue the water is.
“I know. Now, let’s get settled in, and change into our bikinis, so we can get into the water, because I am warm.” You other friend says fanning herself.
After figuring out who gets which room, and unpacking everything, all of you change into your bikinis, and go out into the pool. It wasn’t until about fifteen minutes after getting in, that a group of guys the same age as you all joined you guys. You and your friends didn’t mind them too much because they weren’t jerks, and they weren’t bad to look at. You and the blonde haired, blue eyed one kept making eye contact with each other.
After a while, the boys and your friends began to talk, and all of you started to become friends. You ended up learning that the guy you kept looking at was named Luke. You and Luke became very friendly as time went on. He would flirtingly poke fun at you, in which you would respond by splashing him, and that just turned into a splashing war.
As the vacation went on, your friends and the guys were all together most of the time, and your friends would pair off with Luke’s friends. On the last day, you asked Luke if you could take a photo of you and your best friend on the infinity pool at you two are “looking out over Bali.”
You never really thought much about you and Luke after the vacation was over. You thought of it just as a friendly fling that lasted for a week and a half on vacation. But when you got home, you noticed a follow request from Luke. You obviously accepted, and noticed he posted a photo and tagged you, your friend, and Michael in it, captioning it,
“Who did it better?”
Michael: You Are His Photographer
You and the photographer for the Sounds Live Feels Live tour are pretty good friends, and when you told him that you were thinking of taking the plunge and moving to LA, and offered for you to stay with him, and that he would help you get many different shoots as he could.
The first shoot that he gets you is with Michael Clifford from 5 Seconds of Summer. Your friend kept telling you how great of a guy he is, and that the photos won’t be professionally published, but they will be posted on his social media accounts, which will give you more exposure.
You and Michael have been in contact over the phone before, but never actually met. You both decided that the beach would be a perfect place to shoot, and both agreed to meet there at sunset. You get there, Michael is sitting there looking relaxed on a bench looking over at the ocean. You slowly lift up your camera, and take the shot.
“You must be Y/N.” Michael says, turning his to the direction of the shuttering of the camera lens. “Or at least I hope so, if not, some random stranger with a good camera just took an awesome shot of me.” He says laughing, getting up to walk over to you.
“I’m Michael.” He says reaching out his hand, in which you take it and respond, “And I’m Y/N, as you know.” You say laughing.
“So, where would you like me to go first?” He asks.
“How about” You begin as you think, “Lean against the rail, and look out in the distance at something.”
Michael does as he’s instructed, and the shoot went on smoothly and quickly. After, you invited Michael over to the place you are staying at, so you can edit the photos, and you could send him his favorite ones.
“I like this one.” He says, pointing at the one where he is leaning against the railing.
“Me too.” You agree.
After a little bit of editing, Michael posted it with the caption, “Beach gothin’” and gave credit for the photo.
A/N: I apologize if this isn’t my best work. I am currently recovering from surgery, and I’m in a lot of pain, but I wanted to start the blurb series, and since I’m on bed rest, I thought it would be a perfect time to. Requests are open, I should be well soon! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Summary: 5 Seconds of Summer is having their first gig next week, which calls for lots and lots of rehearsals. Maybe too many.
Pairing: Luke Hemmings and Female Reader
- - -
“That’s it!” Y/N hissed, stomping up the driveway to Luke’s house, the muffled music getting louder with each step. She didn’t want to yell at him, she really didn’t, but he gave her no choice. Y/N’s fist pounded on the door angrily, but the music didn’t stop. She knocked again, harder this time. After a few moments, the music finally ceased. Y/N heard faint mumbling before the door opened.
There he was. Luke fucking Hemmings. Every girl at school saw him as a heartthrob, but Y/N just saw him as obnoxious. “What’s good, baby girl?” Luke smirked, leaning against the doorframe. Y/N could see his bandmates behind him, not paying attention to their conversation.
“Don’t call me that,” Y/N spat, crossing her arms over her chest. “I’ve told you five times already tonight to turn down your music and you keep playing louder!” Luke laughed and reached out, grabbing Y/N’s hand. “Babe, when are you gonna learn to let loose? Let your hair down, chill a little,” he murmured, bringing her hand up to his lips and kissing it gently. Y/N felt her face heat up with both anger and an obvious blush.
“Luke, I’m tired of coming over here to tell you to shut up. What can I do to get you to be quiet?” Y/N sighed, pulling her hand out of his grasp and letting it fall limp at her side. Luke pondered for about five seconds.
“Easy. You could go on a date with me,” he said in all seriousness, a sweet smile on his face. Y/N’s jaw went slack, her eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. “No!” She whisper-shouted. “I’m not going on a date with you!”
“Then I won’t quiet down. Thank you for your time, Y/N, have a wonderful night,” Luke grinned, stepping out of the frame and beginning to close the door. The door shut, and Y/N let out a loud groan before knocking on the door again. Luke answered almost instantly, like he knew she was going to accept his offer.
“Yes?” He smirked, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “So, if I go on one date with you, you’ll stop being obnoxiously loud?” Y/N questioned, considering his deal. “Mhm,” Luke hummed, nodding his head. “Also,” he interjected. “You have to kiss me before you leave.”
“That wasn’t a part of the deal!” Y/N screeched, making Luke throw his head back in laughter. “Boys?” He called out, cueing his bandmates to start blaring out random notes. The noise was deafening Y/N. “Fine!” She hissed. “I’ll go on a date with you and I’ll kiss you.” The ruckus behind them ceased. Luke beamed, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
“Woohoo!” He exclaimed, gently grabbing Y/N’s waist and pulling her close to him. His lips crashed eagerly onto hers, his grip on her waist sliding down to her hips. Y/N couldn’t lie, he was a fantastic kisser, but she still hated him. “Thanks, baby,” he breathed out, grinning like a fool when their lips parted. “I’m not your ‘baby’, Hemmings,” Y/N shouted as she headed back down the driveway, her mind racing with mixed emotions about their kiss. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while now, you know!” Luke called after her, watching her with admiration.
Y/N got back to her room in silence, smiling to herself as she observed the lack of loud music rattling the foundations of her house- until she heard the dreaded words again, only ten times louder.
Summary: 5 Seconds of Summer kicked Luke out of the band after a massive fight. Luke goes to one of their shows a few months later. [Read part one here]
Pairing: None. Full band.
- - -
Luke stayed incognito behind a beanie and aviator sunglasses, standing in the back of the small venue. It’s been two months since he was kicked out of the band. From what he was seeing, Michael took over the position of vocalist, with some random guy (probably a tech) on guitar. If he was being honest, they sounded amazing- better than they could ever be with him. He had no idea Michael was that good of a singer. After wrapping up an old classic, Catch Fire, Michael quickly pushed his sweaty fringe out of his eyes and smiled widely as he shouted, “What’s up, Sydney!?”
Luke had stayed for the rest of the concert.
After the show, Luke walked around to the back of the venue where the familiar white equipment van was parked. Michael, Ashton and Calum were loading their belongings into the back. Calum noticed him first, giving Ashton a small nudge. The drummer turned around, face emotionless. “What?” Ashton spat out, crossing his arms. Luke felt nervous.
“You guys sound real great,” he muttered, looking at Michael. “Mike, I had no idea you were that good. Should’ve let you sing more.” The new vocalist only hummed. It was clear no discussion was going to happen between them. Not tonight.
“I should go-” Luke started, just to get interrupted.
“Yeah, you should,” Ashton hissed in response. The hardened look on his face never faltered.
“I just wanted to wish you guys luck. I heard about your upcoming world tour, I know that was something you’d always dreamed of,” Luke mumbled, fiddling with his thumbs. That was when it had first happened. Ashton looked down, arms lowering just a little. “I guess I’ll see myself out now.”
‘5 on the wall’ more like being blessed with Luke’s singing for 5 minutes, realizing you need Michael to do a smokey eye tutorial, watching Cake play FIFA, Ashton possibly playing a new song, and 5sos generally just fucking everyone up
