a while back i thought about writing a gta verse sort of “files from the lspd” thing because for real can you imagine some of the notes the los santos police department has from bringing in members of the fake ah crew

like ryan:

  • haywood spent the first ten minutes of his interrogation heavily criticizing the “poor upkeep” of an orchid on one of the detective’s desks
  • spoke french, insisted on not knowing english; switched to russian after a french translator was brought in and insisted (in russian) on not knowing french or english
  • made detective demarais cry twice three separate times
  • bailed out by jack pattillo

and ray:

  • upon being brought in with haywood: both men spoke at length to one another in three four five? different languages; narvaez complied with translating for haywood, who insisted he didn’t know english again
  • [addendum: upon review of interrogation tapes, it has been discovered that narvaez was translating heavily and intentionally incorrectly]
  • fell asleep during interrogation on 2/17/12 8/03/13 10/23/13 4/29/14 6/12/14 somebody get this kid a fucking red bull
  • bailed out by jack pattillo

and michael:

  • upon being brought in with gavin free: both men bickered with one another at length despite multiple attempts at questioning
  • jones insisted on continuing to shout through the walls at free upon separation
  • blew up his holding cell on 3/19/13 9/26/13 5/02/14 who the hell is searching this guy?
  • bailed out by jack pattillo

 and geoff just. like:

  • asked for a beer
  • somehow convinced detective demarais to bring him a beer
  • [addendum: he’s really persuasive you guys okay i’m sorry]
  • not bailed out by jack pattillo; inspection of phone transcripts indicate pattillo berated ramsey for “getting brought in on a fucking public indecency charge of all things,” and said he could “stay in there for a few days. yes, i can do that. i can. i just did. i just grounded you.”

and just the last page of that file has been revised so many times:

  • conclusion: proceed with caution.
  • conclusion: separate and subdue.
  • conclusion: shoot on sight.

It won’t always be that way. I know “it gets better” is a lame cliche but it’s true.

5, 13, 26 for the simblr asks ❤️

Ah thank you so much for asking!

5. Used cheats in your game?

I try not to but I think all simmers are guilty of some kind of cheating xD If a sims has some low needs but I need them to do something else or if an animal’s social is down (because wow does that go down really fast…) I won’t hesitate to drag it up xD

13. Skipped a meeting or school to play Sims?

Nope!

26. Made a good friend on Tumblr?

I’ve met quite a few friends since I started my simblr and I’m so happy to have met them because they are all wonderful to talk to! I would list them but mobile tumblr is a jerk and I’m sure most of you know who you are

Questions for Kelandris: 5, 13, 26, 45. :)

5: Describe their emotions and thoughts about the rebellion between Mages and Templars.

It’s unfortunate, but in hindsight seems inevitable. House Trevelyan is well-connected with the Chantry and the Templars, so she has a naturally Templar-sympathetic view – but after hearing about the sort of abuses that went on in Circles, she’s horrified. Something had to give, there, and while it would have been far better to resolve the issues without violence, the situation had been stewing too long. Now she just hopes the Inquisition can contain the fallout as much as possible— but she’s not going to sacrifice morality in exchange for order. Templars should protect mages, not terrorize them. Circles should be enclaves of learning and safety, not prisons full of fear.

13: Which factors play a significant role for them to recruit people for the Inquisition?

She won’t turn anyone away if they’re willing to help. She looks for determination and devotion to the cause of making Thedas a better place for everyone.

26: Name a person they do not feel connected to as much.
Hmm… probably Solas. He’s just so mage-y and philosophical, while she’s practical and isn’t all that interested in the intricacies of the other side of the Veil. As far as she’s concerned, it’s all either “demons that need killing” or “spirits that can mind their own business”. She respects his knowledge and expertise, but they don’t really have much in common. Although she does enjoy his stories – she likes history.

45: Herb Garden or Chantry Garden? Templar Tower or Mage Tower? Infirmary or Practice Ground?

For gameplay reasons, herb garden! Hmm, probably canonically the same choice – the Chantry is important, as is having spaces for faith, but they’ve got the chapel, and the Inquisition is technically not a Chantry organization anyway. The practical benefit of a stock of fresh herbs outweighs the spiritual benefit.

Mage Tower, because she didn’t do enough for the doomed mage rebellion. And how will they improve mage-Templar relations without offering sanctuary to both groups?

Infirmary, no question. The army has the whole darn valley to practice in! And the wounded need a roof over their heads!

locke-writes  asked:

5, 13, 20, 26, 30, for the book asks

5: Favorite series and why
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket/David Handler.
It’s so whimsical and colorful. 13 different settings, one for each book. Amazing characters. Everything’s surreal, over the top. Handler has an incredible way with language, and he loves to play (with) the reader. All the hidden clues and references. On one level it’s just a mystery series for kids, but if you look a little closer it has much more depth than most books for adults (including some classics IMO.)

13: What character would be your best friend in real life?
I honestly never thought about that. But for some reason my mind automatically goes to the Harry Potter universe. Maybe Hermione. Yeah. We have enough interests and personality traits in common to really get each other and make a deep connection, but we’re different enough to keep it interesting and balance each other out.

20: A character you like but you really, really shouldn’t.
Esme Squalor from A Series of Unfortunate Events. It’s not that I like her personality–but I like her as a book character because she’s so well and deliciously evil written. Esme’s incredibly mean, superficial, cruel and hypocritical. All she cares about is being rich, popular and fashionable. A complete caricature. So over the top that it’s laughable. All her scenes are just so entertaining to read.

26: Do you read from recommendations or whatever book catches your eye?
60% recommendations, 30% gifts from friends/family/colleagues (who usually know what I like), 10% whatever catches my eye.

30: One book everyone should read
I actually don’t think that there’s that one book everyone should read, or that one movie everyone should watch etc. People’s tastes are just so varied, and I respect that. But if I had to choose, I’d probably say The Handmaid’s Tale.

Thanks!

HLinProd - Season 11

BLOCK 1 (1101 & 1102) DAY 13 (5.26.17):

8:30am. Day 13 of 15 - Block 1 (eps 1101/1102) starts. 3 scenes from 1101, then 4 from 1101; all in house.🌞Sunrise🌞was at 5:33am.

The first two scenes today are in the kitchen. Here it is at call time. note the overhead lighting. 😊

Outside the studio the production vehicles are huddled, forming the ‘circus,’ as we say in Canada. 🇨🇦

Filming today takes place on the kitchen set, the dining room set +/or the living room set. Outside it’s 🌞sunny🌞. Forecast good!

1) It is ironic that this sign is outside the interior ranch house set, yet so much food and drink is seen & consumed on set, no?

2) Of course all the food and drink on set is only used in scenes where the cast are eating and drinking. I’m told it’s good, too!

1) Well, that’s another week in the can (as in film can, you know? As in completed, shot, wrapped). So, on behalf of all…

2) On behalf of the cast, crew, & the animals (Including Attila) I wish you a great Sat/Sun. “Who’s Attila?” That’s for next week.

3: How long have you been aware of your sexuality/identity?

I’ve known that I’m bi for about two-three years-ish. It was never really something I thought about until it all became a really big deal and I learned more about the entire lgbtqa+ community and realized that, yeah. I like girls and I like guys and there’s a term for that. I suppose I’ve known I’ve been attracted to girls for a while, but never really thought more about it. It wasn’t a repression of my feelings or thoughts, it was just that I never thought about love or dating someone else when I was younger. (And my younger I mean anything before my 8th grade year.)

5: Share a positive memory about coming out!

When I came out to all my friends (I’m not really out to my family yet), they were all super supportive and some of my other friends who are in the lgbtqa+ community (namely @gayforcoffee) made me feel more comfortable in my own skin simply by being who they are.

13: Have you come out to friends and family?

Like I mentioned in the last question, I’ve come out to all my friends as well as online. I’m pretty comfortable if you ask me too. I haven’t come out to my family yet, not because it’s not safe, but because I’m not really sure about the best way to bring it up. It feels like something that shouldn’t just be casually slipped into conversation, but I also feel like that’s what’s going to happen??? Idk, I’ll come out to my family when I feel it’s right.

26: Favorite lgbtqa+ actor/actress?

Okay. I’m gonna admit something here. I’m really bad with actor/actress names. I don’t really go on wiki and read all their information because it doesn’t really interest me to do in my free time. If you give me some names (and possibly what they were in) I could give you a more solid answer since I know few actors/actresses and even less about their sexualities/identities.

13 = Favorite Joji song?

26 = What is your favorite video from them?

At first I really liked Max, although I also really liked Joji and I haven’t seen any of Ian’s videos at the time

My favorite song by Joji would definitely be  WORLD$TAR MONEY it’s such a chill song or it it would be  Lov U (I linked the 8 minute version) it’s a really cool song to listen to while you draw.

Other than the behind the scenes stuff it would probably be  THE GENTLEMEN’S GUIDE .

Day 6 of 7: How to be more like Christ

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Gal. 5:22-23

My dear sister,

In Christ Jesus, there is no need to simply go through the day, the week, or your life just trying to get by. As we see in today’s passage, there are tangible ways that we can truly make a difference by the way we choose to live. The way you choose to respond to someone who offended you, the way you choose to react when something goes wrong, and the way you make decisions based on your convictions can all be rooted in the fruit of the spirit. If you don’t know where to start on your journey to be more like Christ, in your daily life, start there!
Here are some examples to get you started:

1. Love
Putting other people before yourself

2. Joy
Continuing to have a great attitude even when things don’t go your way. Not letting your mood be determined by what’s in your bank account. Worshipping the Lord even when you’re going through a difficult time

3. Peace
Being confident of God’s presence in your life

4 . Forbearance
Being okay with waiting, realizing that God’s timing is better

5. Kindness
Being considerate of people…even those we don’t get along with. Being a friend to someone who really needs it, not expecting anything in return.

6. Goodness
Providing loving wisdom to others. Not focusing out outer appearance but what’s int the heart.

7. Faithfulness
Not giving up in hard times, but continuing to plant seeds and serve the Lord.

8. Gentleness
Not allowing your emotions to get the best of you when things go wrong.

9. Self-control
Resisting temptation even though fleshly desires are strong.

When it comes to being the woman God has called you to be, it comes down to being in a relationship with Jesus and allowing Him to do a work in you. You won’t be able to live this kind of life without Him, so lean into that today, and let His example be your guide!

Day 19/31

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” - Gal. 5:14
Love is a very important part of fulfilling our purpose. After all, it is God’s love through Jesus Christ that GIVES us purpose. Love has to be our priority. We have to take the time to focus our attention on what it means to love those around us on a daily basis.
If we’re truly honest, this can be easier said than done. So often times, we don’t even realize that we’ve put our schedules or our priorities before others. Sometimes, we even put our own pain and hurt before others. If you’ve ever had your heart broken or you’ve ever been taken advantage of, it can become hard to open up your heart. Instead of freely loving others, you put up walls just so you can try to avoid being hurt or getting taken advantage of again. As a result, you can end up becoming so focused on protecting yourself from getting hurt that you overlook those around you.
But that’s not how we are to live as followers of Christ. We are not live in that kind of fear. Through Him, there is freedom to live a life where you are free to “love your neighbor as yourself.” And the beautiful thing about it is that you are not meant to do it alone. As we see in today’s passage in Galatians 5, now that we have a relationship with Christ, we are to walk in the Spirit. He is the one who strengthens us and guides us when we feel like we’re too broken to love others or too busy or too tired. This is what God wants you to know! You are not meant to do this alone.
In the Old Testament, this Word of God comes as beautiful, comforting truth to the prophet Zechariah in regards to Zerubbabel rebuilding the temple: “Your strength and prowess will not be enough to finish My temple, but My Spirit will be.” (Zechariah 4:6). So no matter how weak or tired you feel at times, don’t give up on loving others. Through His spirit, God will work through you so that you can love like Jesus. So make the time to love others because even when you don’t feel like you can do it, God is the One who will make it possible for you to do so!

DAY 108
Saturday, April 18, 2015

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- Galatians 5:22-23

This month we are talking about the fruit of the spirit and over the next few days we will be talking about goodness. We just want to encourage you tonight to embrace goodness…the kind of goodness that comes from the Lord. I know it’s late and if you’ve been following this devotional for a while you know that we like to post late at night sometimes, just for YOU–you that just might be sitting there thinking about your past, your present, your future. You that might be:

1. Looking at your phone waiting for a text
2. Scrolling through Instagram or Facebook wish you were somewhere else or had something more
3. Wondering if you’re going to make it through finals
4. Worried about your job or career situation
5. Dealing with family issues beyond your control
6. Wondering who and where your true friends are
7. Wondering if you should go to church tomorrow
8. Wondering if something is wrong with you and why that certain guy won’t pursue you
9. Thinking about a situation that happened in your past
10. Having a hard time forgetting about the bad news in your life

Whatever the bad news or not-so-good news looks like in your life, know that goodness comes from the Lord and no matter how bad things get, the Lord is still in control and the goodness that comes from the Spirit of the Lord is real, it is authentic, and because of Christ, you have access to that kind of goodness.

Also, goodness is not just a positivity kick or a motivational speech. Know that the kind of goodness that comes from the Lord is the HIGHEST form of moral excellence that you could ever experience. So hold onto that! God is GOOD! His goodness is real! Be encouraged #quitewomencosisters!
