When I was in the 4th grade, there was a boy named John and a girl named Kennedy in my class. All the kids used to tease them and say, “John F’d Kennedy! John F’d Kennedy!” I didn’t laugh at the time, but I just realized how hilarious that is.
Recently, Natalie’s mom volunteered at Meyerholtz elementary’s walk-a-thon. Our 4th grade English teacher, Mr. Wright, recognized her and said hi. He asked how Natalie was and Natalie’s mom was surprised that he remembered her. She asked him how he remembered Natalie, and Mr. Wright said that a few years ago, he remembered that Natalie and I visited him at the walk-a-thon. He was busy so he didn’t have time to talk to us. However, I said, “Don’t forget us, Mr. Wright!”, so he kept that in mind and has not forgotten us for the past 7 years. When I heard this today, I was so touched. This really shows how much some teachers care for their students and it’s really heartwarming. Natalie and I are definitely visiting Mr. Wright soon.
