Related to my last question, when was did you start writing the Sleepwalker arc, because the first possible piece of Foreshadowing for it happened in your Story of Magic arc? The words, those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head to be exact.

Those words actually come from a Coldplay song - 42, but they have a nice poetic quality to them. Originally during that October arc, they were more intended to be foreshadowing for the Entity in 90s Kid, it’s just they also conveniently worked out for the current storyline, as well, so I figured I’d keep them around and use them again.

Now, the actual writing of the Sleepwalker arc didn’t start for a while aside from a few notes and lines I wanted to do, but I knew this was the direction I’d be headed in for a while, ever since 2099 Month. As such, I wanted it to be the long game. I didn’t know exactly WHEN the future message would come into play, but I wanted to set it up even if it wasn’t something that’d get addressed until even ten years later or whatever. I knew I’d be approaching a natural point to work on it around 2014… except I knew the arc would be long, complicated, and require a lot of careful writing to ensure Linkara didn’t look like a complete monster, but someone who was doing things morally questionable while having good reasons for them and the audience could potentially sympathize with. As a result, with pre-production starting up on the AT4W movie and no idea of when the Sleepwalker arc would end, I made the choice to postpone it until after the movie. However, I needed SOMETHING for 2014, so during “Ghost of the Machine,” I included a red herring about another Outer God called the King of Worms and decided to do that arc as setup for the Sleepwalker, with 90s Kid taking the Absent Grimoire and the way the King would be killed. 2015 had the movie, and with Will having moved to Texas, I set about setting up the new character with Erin who would be the one the reveal happened to instead of Jaeris.
