I’ve gotten a few questions on my editing process, so I’ll use this picture as an example.
The top picture is straight from the camera, I tend to shoot at a little lower exposure so I don’t blow out the shot. This picture was shot with my Canon 6D and using my new lens the Canon EF 40mm f2.8.
Settings for shot are: 1/200 40mm 3.2 and an ISO of 100. I do all of my editing in Lightroom 5 and import my shots into Photoshop to finish up a few things.
First thing I normally tend to do when editing an image is crop the image, I always crop to 16x10. I like to turn the image around and use angles in my shots. Next I adjust the exposure, I tend to lower the contrast a bit after that and not increase it depending on the image again. From there I’ll adjust each individual slider either up or down to my liking. I don’t really do much else after that, I adjust the colors and try not to make it too exaggerated. I like to add a bit of Vignetting to add focus to the center as well. Feel free to ask me anymore questions.
