Elias shifted slightly, blinking his eyes open as streaks of bright sunlight pierced the window of the living room. As he stretched his arms above his head, a low groan erupted from inside of him.

With a yawn, Elias slowly stood up from the couch wondering what time it was as he looked around. At the memory of last night, he smiled to himself. He’d had an incredibly hard time sleeping; he couldn’t get the thought of Laila sleeping in his bed out of his mind. He wondered if she’d already left.

He heard voices drift into the living room from the kitchen.

It was Laila and Sana.

He edged closer to the kitchen, standing closely behind the door.

“Yeah, I mean, I’m not gonna lie, it’s challenging. But…I think the fact that they love each other is what strengthens their marriage. Their love for each other is enough to make it work for them.” Laila said, in a soft tone.

There was a pause. “And how do you guys do Ramadan? When your mom is fasting and your dad isn’t?”

MizuClear AU where Clear is a waiter at cafe/bistro and Mizuki comes to play his acoustic guitar and sing on Open Mic Night. Clear always brings Mizuki a glass of peach lemonade with the widest smile and Mizuki has the biggest fucking crush on this albino angel. Like a lot of stuff this complex, larger timesigs could be broken down into smaller ones, or smaller grouped into larger, depends on preference.

My favorite part is the incredibly erratic 1:08 section, probably unsurprisingly. Every bar is super syncopated too, and I’m actually surprised with those piano rhythms that no x/16 timesigs came out of that!

Lots of the 4/4 sections are pretty rhythmically out of what you’d expect, mostly with just over the barline 3+3+3+3-etc type stuff though.

It’s April Fools Day, but the amount of assignments and studying I need to do is no joke. Instead of laughing and pranking, I’ll be spending the remainder of my day finishing a short story assignment, revising circadian rhythm notes, finishing biology assignments and studying for two exams next week.
