After working on my previous Thumbelina image, I felt like I really wanted to carry on that little bit longer with this theme of teeny, tiny people. And so very recently I started working on this new illustration, loosely based on The Borrowers by Mary Norton and here is the result :)
Featured previously on Curious History, Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki (Hide) creates amazing 3D illustrations that leap off the page. The 22 year-old artist from Wakayama, Japan is gaining popularity with his incredible talent. With his work on exhibition and in many magazines, the young artist has released over thirty videos on Youtube to demonstrate his incredible anamorphic techniques and to help teach artists how to draw their own 3D creations.
I spent a whole month modelling these low poly arcade cabinets just for fun (and practice with Cinema 4D). These sitdown and upright arcade cabinets were released in Japan between 1988 and 1995 by Capcom. You can find more information about them in here.
