Ok, wow. I don’t know if it’ll work embedded in Tumblr but this is the first 360 degree night sky video I’ve found - timelapse 360 camera work over Helvetia, Switzerland. Click on the video and drag to change the view if it works.
This is probably the closest you will ever get from a Great White shark bite without being injured or losing a limb.
In 2013, a team from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution took a specially equipped REMUS “SharkCam” underwater vehicle to Guadalupe Island in Mexico to film great white sharks in the wild. They captured more than they hoped for. This incredible footage is set to air on this year’s Shark Week.
REMUS stands for Remote Environmental Monitoring Unit. The pre-programmed SharkCam is controlled by scientists, and features 6 GoPro video cameras, providing a spectacular 360 degrees view of the surroundings. These cameras were mounted on underwater probe REMUS-100. It can go as deep as 100 meters or 328 feet and can stay underwater for a maximum of eight hours.
REMUS doesn’t intrude with the routines or behavior of marine animals. However, it was getting noticed by a bunch of sharks, stalked, and sometimes bitten from underneath. The SharkCam was fortunate enough to have survived the series of shark attacks and brought home recordings for scientific studies—along with the shark bite marks on it.
Andy Rubin-backed Owl Labs just launched a robotic video conference camera
A startup backed by Andy Rubin’s Playground incubator and venture capital firm has rolled out a new hardware product, one that addresses the pain points of an unexciting but crucial area of business technology: video conferencing systems. Owl Labs’ new camera, called Owl, is a thermos-shaped, robotic video camera that captures a 360-degree view of a meeting space and automatically shifts its point of focus to show whoever is talking in the meeting. This robotic shifting is supposed to replace the remote controls or awkward manual turning of cameras that happens sometimes during video conference meetings. Read more

Swift nabbed an Emmy for Original Interactive Program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience. The singer has a star and executive producer credit on the project, which debuted with the release of her “Blank Space” music video in 2014.
Ok. This requires a bit of background. so.
Conan does this gimmicky 360-degree thing where as the video is playing you can maneuver the camera around to see whatever you want to see.
The quality is shit and normally this is entirely pointless - however, I HAD to record Jared’s “dancing” and share it with you all because it literally murdered me.
Like everyone is getting the fuck down to whatever song they were blasting, and like, if you pan the camera just over about 5 or 6 feet - there’s jared. Just… doin’ his own little thing - decided to dip and now you wanna trip cause another brother noticed him - oh sorry, where was I?
He’s just being awkward af and killing me softly with his adorbs.
Please keep a lookout for his sassy mumbling of “so much screaming” before awkwardly moving in to slow hug Conan - only illustrating how petite he is.
