Don’t get me wrong, I’m an independent person. But I quite like the idea of waking up in the middle of the night with your arm wrapped around me. Not protecting me, just holding me.

And when I can’t sleep, I get to admire you. I can hold my breath until our heart beats are in sync or maybe I can kiss the scar above your lip. I can count the freckles on your arms like I am an astronomer and your freckles are all of the stars in the sky. I can guess where your dreams are taking you by analyzing the crooked smile on your face.

And when I do fall asleep, I will dream about you, the last thing my eyes saw before I gave in to the exhaustion.

And when I wake up, the first thing I will see is you. Maybe you will still be sleeping soundly holding onto me, or maybe I will catch you admiring me, too.

ack, my bad. This sitch is way less angsty than 7x your thinking power! I meant at like a campus Starbucks, "or whatever", over a couple semesters, and you still only show up and order the same damn thing, and only vary the spoken ritual once you get your drink, depending on if she is making or taking orders. And even then, is a huge, weird, smiley, AWKWARD but sometimes poignant exchange. Every. Other. Day. Full stop. TEN MONTHS. is that your aesthetic?

Thank you for the extended explanation, anon. But I’m gonna tell you why that’s not my aesthetic.

10 months = 304 days (ish). 304 / 2 = 152 If I was ordering the same thing every time it’d be like a cappuccino or something. So let’s say $3.50 per drink. 152 x 3.5 = $532.

There’s no way I am spending that much money on coffee.

I just realized. Since Luke and Leia grew up on different planets, even though they were born at the same moment, they’re different ages on paper. A year on Alderaan is 364 days (similar to the galactic standard) and a year on Tattooine is only 304 days. So when Leia is nineteen, her supposed age in the first Star Wars, Luke is biologically the exact same age as her. But he’s been alive for about 22 years. According to Tattooine time, at least. Trippy.
