30 Day TV Show Challenge | Day 11
A show that disappointed you

How I Met Your Mother - 9 amazing seasons ruined in one episode.

30 Day TV Challenge

Day Twenty-Six: OMG WTF?! Season Finale

How I Met Your Mother

seriously. we spent all these seasons learning about the mother. this large puzzle we all kept trying to put together. and when we finally meet her, she gets brushed aside (killed off) just so we get a different couple as endgame who proved again and again (season after season) that they weren’t compatible with each other…

the whole last season was built around us finally meeting the mother, barney and robin getting married—and in the last 30 minutes of the series— swarkles gets divorced, the mother dies, and ted goes to robin for the upteenth time after all the other failed attempts?!

Look at the final cast interview when the woman asks if they think fans will like the final episode… They all look uncomfortable. Like they knew a lot of us would hate it. Esp Cobie, Neil, and Alyson. Even Josh and Jason had to try and school their faces a bit…

Day 12: best high-five moment:

                                                                  High Infinity

Oh! Definitely it has to be this one, the last one between Barney and Ted at the wedding. It was sad and beautiful because Ted was supposed to move to Chicago and Barney knew that there would be no one that could replace him. That is why it was “so worth it” to have the High Infinity- “A high-five to echo throughout eternity."

Day 15: favorite life lesson:

If it’s meant to be, it will be.

I think we all spend a lot of time looking for the person we want to spend our life with, some might find them early in life, for others it takes some time to find them, even if it is a person or any dream we desire, when it is the right time it will be given to us. If they each needed someone or something at a certain time and they could not reach it, their desires became a reality in the PRECISE moment where they would treasure them as it was meant to. Each one of them: Marshall, Lily, Barney, Robin, Ted, and Tracy got what made them the happiest, even if it was unexpected, they realized it was what they loved the most.

I’m not sure if this was said, but at least I know it was implied.

30 Day Barney and Robin Challenge

Day 1 - Episode when you became a BR shipper

1x14 “Zip, Zip, Zip”

Robin: My father was a cigar fanatic. It was the only way to get his attention.
Barney: Father issues. Hot.
Robin: Yeah, I know. I was this close from being a huge slut.
Barney: Slut would’ve been better, but I’ll settle for bro. Especially now that Ted’s with Victoria and can’t drink. Because he’s pregnant…because he’s the girl.
Robin: Come on, Ted can’t be pregnant. You need to have sex to get pregnant.
Barney: What up! Freeze-frame high five!

Everything about them works so well together, how they’re the same with relationships but yet so different in how they view life. They started off as amazing friends first with this great bantering that reminds me so much of my otp to end all otps, Ron and Hermione. And their chemistry in this episode is what started making me think about them together, especially Barney’s lines to Robin about how they work together.

Day 5: favorite Robin Sparkles song:

                                                                 P.S. I love you.

Technically, the song is by Robin Daggers but I just love it so much and I kind of don’t like any other of her songs, so anyways… It was so awesome so to see Robin in a punk/rock way, the song is meant to be dark and obsessive but the writers made a wonderful job making it ridiculously funny. And somehow Robin Daggers reminds me of Bella from Twilight lol.
