Bee emoji reviews

apple going for the somewhat realistic interpretation, but those wings are just… wrong, and takes away from the rest of the image. 3/5

a friend. the innocent, humble friend that beesshould be portrayed as. i can overlook anatomical errors when it ends up being so damn friendly. 5/5

i appreciate the attempted art direction here, the top-down view is a unique twist, but mamma mia could someone at microsoft hold off from selecting the thickest black border available? 3/5

this bee is curious, inquisitive, and i’m sure they could warm up to being a good friend. 4/5

that’s one fat fucking bee. how does its small wings lift its fat body off the ground? i think this bee’s going to care about what we think is impossible. 2/5

this is a much more preferable interpretation of the top-down bee. reasonable line thickness, doesn’t look nearly as threatening. 4/5

similarly, this is acceptable. focuses more on gradients than flat colors, which i think is an interesting change of pace. 4/5

that’s a wasp. an aggressive, unpleasant wasp. that wasp is not my friend - it is a threat. and we shouldn’t be portraying bees as threats. 2/5

absolute adorable friendliness trumps technical anatomy. this bee is my best friend. 5/5

what the fuck is this shit

How to be more Self-Disciplined

1. Choose to act, or to do what you should you. Don’t wait until you feel that you are in the right mood.

2. Decide to keep on going, and to finish what you’ve started. Don’t allow yourself to give up when you’re only part way through.

3. Be honest with yourself and call yourself on the excuses. They’re often just a cover for not wanting to do something.

4. Plan ahead and break large goals down into smaller, short-term goals – and put these on a calendar, and tick them off each day.

5. Remind yourself how great you’ll feel when later you’ve achieved and reached the goals you set yourself, and have that better life.

6. Also, separate what is important and matters down the road, from what is temporary – or seems worthwhile right now.

7. Try not to be distracted by the things that eat up time - like gaming, watching movies or just hanging out with friends.

8. Hang out with other people who have self-discipline, and understand the value of working hard right now.

Many of you ask what to do when your motivation levels are low and how to stay motivated to study. Although it is really hard to stay motivated at all times (more about it later), we decided to share some things that may help you stay motivated and focused on working.

1. Define your exact goal
To stay motivated you need to know why exactly you need to be motivated. Write down (specifically!) what you want to achieve and an approximate time you need for it. Remember to be realistic and not go too easy (but also not too hard) on yourself. For example, avoid writing “finish all the stuff- approx. 3 days” and instead write “finish revision- approx. 4 hours, rewrite notes- approx. 1 hour, plan upcoming week- approx. 45 minutes”. You need a clear idea of what you want to accomplish.

2. Break it down
Once you have a specific goal, break it down into smaller pieces. So if you want to “study for a test”, you probably should “re-read necessary chapters”, “take notes”, maybe “watch lectures online”, “do old tests”, “re-read notes”. That way you aren’t facing a seemingly unachievable (so automatically demotivating) goal, but many smaller, and therefore easier to tackle tasks. Also, there is nothing as satisfying and motivating as crossing something off a to-do-list :)

3. Reward yourself after finishing your task
If you actually finished writing this paper or you did study for 3 hours, you really deserve this 30 minutes break or an episode of your favorite show or a cupcake or a manicure. Having something to look forward to while studying actually helps. Just remember to be honest with yourself and to keep the ‘work done’ to ‘rewards received’ ratio reasonable

4. Tell someone what you plan to do
Tell your friend or your parents or anyone who may hold you accountable what you want to do. That way, they will actually expect you to do this and you will feel more motivated (as being afraid of shame is actually a great motivator)

5. Try to make studying as pleasurable as possible
Clean you desk. Have some water. Prepare a tiny snack. Have all the books necessary in front of you. Tell you family/ roommates that you’ll be studying and therefore need peace and quiet. Turn off your phone and TV. If you can, invest in some nice stationery (though it isn’t necessary by any means!). Try not to hurry. It sounds super simple, but it is true that it’s easier to work/ study if your working space is is nice.

6. Keep track of your progress and accomplishments so far
Seeing how much you did and achieved so far, helps you to keep going in the moments of lowest motivation, which brings me to..

7. Just start.
This is an amazing tip, which works every single time. It’s much easier to keep working than to start working. Get off the couch and do just one thing- read one chapter, watch one lecture. Sometimes this small action can completely flip you attitude and get you back on track of studying.

8. Remember there is no such thing as stupid motivator
You get motivated by printing out motivational quotes and sticking them around your room? Great! Wanting to become next Tu YouYou keeps you going? Awesome! You study so you can get a great job and afford pretty shoes and nice cars? Good for you! Just thinking about Addison Montgomery makes you want to study? Amazing! Remember that whatever keeps you focused and motivating, it is great as it serves it purpose and you should never be ashamed of what it is!

9. Don’t get distracted by your mistakes- learn from them
It happened and you survived. There is no point in reminiscing, focus instead on what you can do better next time. You can use the feelings of sadness and anger as motivators, just remember not to drown in them

10. Create a studying routine and stick to it
There are days when nothing makes you motivated and they happen to everybody. That’s why it is so important to establish a studying routine- so even on days when studying is the last thing you want to do, you still do it- because you “programmed” yourself to do so. Sometimes, when nothing works you simply need to hustle. Celebrate those days, because having done something during those days is the greatest victory of all :)

11. And always remember that being able to study is a great privilege
Even when it seems like the worst of chores

Good luck!

1. stop comparing yourself to other people. embrace your differences. remember what you have to offer the world. make lists of your good traits. forget what other people can do better and remember what you do good.

2. tell your friends you love and appreciate them more. thank them for listening. thank them for being them. forgive them faster and stop letting petty things get in between your friendships.

3. stop going back to the ex who screwed you over. be friends if you want, but remember they don’t even deserve your friendship. remember you cannot be fixed by the one who broke you.

4. let go of the people who are bringing you down. if a relationship brings you more pain than joy, it’s a toxic relationship. stop putting effort into people who refuse to meet you half way.

5. compliment yourself at least one time every day. try to compliment others every day as well.

6. get serious about your health. eat wheat bread and less sugar. exercise, even if it’s just walking. don’t do this for a flat stomach; do it because it’s good for your health.

7. take care of your mental health. surround yourself with people who make the negative thoughts in your head shut off. ask for help. see a therapist if you need one. take your pills as prescribed.

8. stop letting little things bother you. ask yourself if you’re really going to care about it in five years, and if the answer is no, let go of it. stop wasting time feeling sorry for yourself. sometimes you can’t help but to get upset over things, but when you do, do everything in your power to try to cheer yourself up.

9. use the internet less. read more books. spend more time with your family. spend more time being present and looking people in the eye. look up and appreciate the beauty around you.

10. drink less alcohol. do things with people that doesn’t involve drinking. discover how to have fun sober.

11. start the career you actually want. switch majors, even if you will end up spending more time in school. go back to college if you’re not in it and you want a profession you have to go to college for. i know it’s expensive but the rest of your life is worth it.

12. stop watching life pass you by. learn to say yes and learn to say no. learn to make decisions for yourself. learn to say “i am unhappy where i am so i am changing it.” make the first move. take charge of your life.

13. save more money for things you really want, whether it be a vacation or a new pair of shoes. stop blowing money on things you don’t need. pay your bills on time and avoid the late fees.

14. appreciate the good things in your life. eliminate negative self talk (or at least try to). think about three good things in your life every morning before you get out of bed. stop dwelling on the bad.

15. give your all in everything you do. don’t settle for mediocrity. work every day to be a better person than you were the day before.

—  fifteen new years resolutions you can keep in 2017

10 things I learned in 2016

1. Travel, a lot. Buy a ticket, grab a friend, and discover places you’ve never been to.
2. Say goodbye. The friendship you had with someone since Year 1 will change and sometimes you slowly distance yourself from each other.
3. Be kind. We live in a cruel, awful world but that isn’t an excuse to be rude and cold hearted.
4. Write. Take a piece of paper and pour your heart out. Write down everything that comes to your mind, I promise you’ll feel so much better afterwords.
5. Dream. It doesn’t matter whether your goals and wishes seem impossible to reach, just try to follow them.
6. Let go. The past is the past and shouldn’t determine the life you live now.
7. Fail. There is nothing more uplifting than failing and getting up again to succeed. We learn from mistakes and while it’s hard to accept, we grow through them, too.
8. Accept yourself. Barely anyone fits into today’s beauty standards and that’s okay. As long as you feel comfortable and healthy, the opinion of other people with judgement clouded minds shouldn’t matter to you.
9. Get help. It’s okay to ask for help and get the support you need.
10. Be independent. I don’t say that you should break up with your partner or get ride of all your friends but please don’t lose yourself in the process of being in a relationship or friendship for that matters.

✨🌹goals for 2017🌹✨

1. Drink more water because I want to respect and treat the beautiful vessel that is my body better.
2. Keep my room clean because a tidy room helps me focus better and strips some of my anxiety away.
3. Write things down so I don’t forget them because I am the worst at remembering assignments and chores I need to get done.
4. Go to sleep at a decent hour because getting 8 hours of sleep will rejuvenate my vessel and I’ll spend less money on under eye concealer.
5. Manage my time wisely so I can go to sleep stress free and feel like I’ve completed the tasks I set out for that day.
6. Do my schoolwork when it’s assigned because doing it right before it’s due gives me knots in my back.
7. Eat healthier because I want to feed my body nutritious things so I can flourish into the beautiful, healthy rose I am meant to be.
8. Work out more to help relieve stress and look and feel healthy and at my best.
9. Take time to drink my morning coffee because whenever I miss it I suffer the rest of the day and when I drink it every little sip is heavenly.
10. Eat three times a day because I don’t want to deprive my beautiful vessel of what she needs in order to be its happiest and healthiest.
11. Moisturize every day because I love looking like a glowing goddess.
12. Don’t let myself feel uncomfortable just so others can feel comfortable because I fall in too deep and hit a breaking point where I go insane and shut everything out and I DESERVE BETTER.
13. Don’t allow boys to disrespect me or my body because I deserve respect and affection.
14. Focus on myself because at the end of the day I have to live with myself and my decisions and I’m my own responsibility and nobody is mine.
15. Dress like I care about how I look because when I look good I feel good, when I feel good I do good.
16. Go hiking more because I’m surrounded by mountains so why not explore them?
17. Volunteer more because the world needs more positivity so spread that shit like room temperature butter on toast baby!
18. Say “yes” more because I wanna tell my kids and grandkids about my amazing life.
19. Create art more because I always want to but I allow other things that don’t make me as happy get in the way of that. I also wanna have more art to hang up and add to my portfolio.
20. Speak up for the things I care about because I have a beautiful voice that cannot and should not be silenced!
21. Give people 2nd chances sometimes because I fuck up sometimes and would want a second chance.
22. Go to more concerts because they make me happiest.

support our lil' mark 💕

ok but honestly i think it’s going to be really stressful for mark bc

1. sm hardly ever sends their idols to these kind of survival programs because it may damage their reputation due to manipulative editing

2. i’m really scared the people will bully him because idol rappers are more often than not looked down upon (just watch unpretty rapstar, the underground rappers straightaway cancel out the idol rappers from their “list of competitors” once they find out)

3. he’s sooooo younggggggggg my goodness idk why sm thinks it’s ok to debut him in 3 units, 4 songs consecutively, and now there’s this schedule??? that is a lot of burden to carry for an 18 year old on top of school

so i really hope we can stick together and give him all the support he needs and deserves. i sincerely hope and trust that he can do well and boost the reputation of idol rappers!!! (and, by extension, sm rappers as well)

How I Format and Use Flashcards

1.  Less is More: no need for a paragraph to define a term, choose the simplest and most efficient one. Also, don’t include common sense things or things you know by heart, you’ll waste time and space by writing them down.

2. Sketch it Out: Sketches can be helpful in allowing you to visualize the term/concept.

3. Say it Out Loud: When reviewing through the cards, try and say the definition out loud. It will require you to think about it more, and it also helps with memorization. If I try and define a term in my head I usually speed through it and leave something out.

4. Write them as you go: Don’t sit down right before finals and try and write down every term/definition from the course. It takes forever and you will kill your hand. As you finish a chapter in the course finish that set of flashcards. You will thank yourself later.

5. Repetition: I go through my flashcards before a test maybe a thousand times (exaggeration but very close). Remember to focus on the harder ones, you’ll most likely remember the easier ones during the test.

Here is my method:

Round 1: Go through every single card. Don’t set any aside. I usually don’t know a majority of the terms at this point, I most likely just finished writing them down.

Round 2: Go through every card again, this time setting aside ones I didn’t know or had trouble with.

Round 3: Go through the harder ones I missed.

Round 4: Add the harder ones back in with the original and shuffle.

Round 5: Go through them all and repeat the process until pleased!

What to do when you’re stuck in a rut

1. Remind yourself that, in time, things will change and we all get bogged down at different periods in life.

2. Try to make sure that you do some exercise – as that brightens our mood and boosts our mental energy.

3. Be aware of the tendency to isolate yourself. Being around other people can give you more support, and can help you to keep going when you feel like giving up.

4. Try changing your routine. Just changing a few things can help you feel more in control, and less at the whim of external circumstances.

5. Set some small goals for yourself and take some steps to make them happen – again, you’ll feel less trapped as you will feel that you have options.

6. Make sure you treat yourself well so you know that you have value … Buy some clothes … or take time out … or do whatever makes you happy.

7. Pay attention to your thoughts, and keep your mind on what inspires you. Look for hope – create some vision – and remember: things WILL change!

My Top Ten Television Shows of 2016

 1. I really did not expect the spin off of Breaking Bad to end up being another one of my favorite shows, but this show only got better in its second season. Bob Odenkirk proves that he can lead a show greatly and the writing is top notch. Jimmy’s journey to becoming Saul is absolutely worth being told.

2. The best news show on TV is also one of the funniest. Week after week, this show keeps proving that it’s one of the most intelligent shows on TV. John Oliver is one of our best comedians working today.

3. One of the best sci-fi shows in years. I’ve watched season one twice and it’s the best original show of Netflix I’ve seen. The ensemble cast is fantastic. Bring on season two.

4. Like John Oliver, Samantha Bee is another Daily Show alumni doing Jon Stewart proud. Bee doesn’t tone anything down. Each episode hits true and hard, while also being hilarious. We’re going to need shows like this and Last Week Tonight now more than ever.

5. The best comic book show on TV currently. One of my favorite characters has been so well represented and season two just further expanded upon that. With new characters like Elektra and The Punisher, this show’s only gotten bigger and better in the best possible way.

6. The last season stumbled a bit, but season four was a welcome return to form for one of the best and most underrated shows on TV. The tension only built further this season and now that we know there is an ending coming soon, it only made that finale hit harder.

7. Marvel’s road to The Defenders only got more exciting with this excellent series that tackles race issues and more without doing so in a cheesy comic book way. Mike Colter is perfectly cast as Luke Cage; playing a hero we needed now very badly. Also, Mahershala Ali made for one of the best TV villains of the year. I only wish we’d gotten more of him. And that soundtrack is dynamite.

8. It’s a shame this wonderful show got cancelled. Peggy Carter constantly proves that she doesn’t need superpowers to be one of Marvel’s best heroes. Season two further fueled my excitement that this wonderful character got such an awesome show. Track down both seasons if you haven’t already. They are well worth your time.

9. This is easily my favorite comedy on TV. Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer make for one of the best comedic duos in years. They do uncomfortable comedy flawlessly.

10. While the finale may have fizzled out in its final minutes, season two was an overall fun, disgusting, hilarious time. I’m really happy to see my favorite horror franchise continue on the small screen and I hope season three is headed in a good direction.

☆Remember to stay safe. We want to be skinny, not dead. You can’t slay with a killer body if you’re decomposing six feet under. Be kind to yourself. Every pound is progress.

Do you Suffer from Low Self-Esteem?

Traits include:

1. A lack of self love. Believing that, deep down inside, you are inadequate and inferior.

2. Feeling guilty all the time. Torturing yourself about everything you said or did – even although it is relatively small or insignificant.

3. Lacking a sense of belief in yourself. Always thinking you are going to fail, or “get it wrong”.

4. Living with a constant feeling of self-rejection and self-loathing. Sometimes this is related to secrets you are burying about yourself. But, more commonly, it is because the person is trying to ‘be perfect’ so that others will like and accept them.

5. Having unrealistic expectation of others – then being angry and disappointed when they fail to live up to those standards.

6. Not trusting others to be there for you, to keep on liking you and being your friend, or to be faithful, loyal and reliable.

7. Being focused on your limitations and inadequacies instead of your areas of growth and development. Feeling you will never change, be happy, or make any progress in life.

Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 4

After a hot shower and a greasy burger from In and Out, you flopped down on the motel bed, staring at the ceiling. If that little Alpha and his pack weren’t going to assist you, then you’d just have to get to work ripping this whole town to shreds piece by piece.

The truth of the matter was, emotions or not, you knew what you felt for Void wasn’t normal. It wasn’t uncommon for Kitsunes to fall and love and marry, each other or normal humans. But for two Nogitsune to feel what you felt?

  • Okay so I haven't seen the subs yet but I don't understand why people suddenly jumped to "oh Yuuri is breaking up with Victor" and thought it was a rational conclusion. Yuuri's been thinking about retiring this entire time. Since literally episode 3. Regardless or whether or not he actually does, he's anyways been thinking of having Victor step down as his coach after the GPF since episode 4 and especially episode 9 (where he said he'd tell Victor regardless of whether or not he wins). In Yuuri's head, is not right for him to "keep Victor away from the ice." He loves Victor so much that he's willing to let him go, so Victor can be happy as well. This is Yuuri giving Victor the option of returning to skating, should he so wish. Victor's response remains to be seen--as I believe Victor himself is unsure of what he really wants.
  • But you know what is certain? Their engagement. They got engaged the previous night, and Victor expressed his intention to marry Yuuri after the GPF in plain words. Even in the previews for the next episode we see them still wearing their rings. Yuuri's decision of "let's end this" has nothing to do with their personal relationship. They're still engaged.
  • I'm actually somewhat relieved that Yuuri told Victor now, before the Free Skate, because it's been a huge source of anxiety for him. It gives Victor a chance to understand, and to reassure Yuuri that regardless of what happens, they're going to be together throughout it. It's a weight off Yuuri's shoulders, and once he gets that reassurance from Victor, he's going to be able to skate without any burdens. Remember, his theme is Love. And Love Wins.
  • And one more thing to always keep in mind: "Hanarezuni sobani ite." It's their song.

all i can say is…. wow. its incredible to finally have this done, i never imagined i would be working on it for this long. but even then it’s been a ton of fun, from writing the script to laying out the panels to deciding which red paint splatters should go where. thank you so much for bearing with me all this time. and now that this is finished, there will be more au stuff to come!

none. just fluff and weirdness and a lil bit of angst.
A/N: I’m so sorry this was posted so late! I couldn’t help myself after I found out Newt’s criminal record post. Also, it’s REALLY, REALLY LONG. Beware. At first it was going to be regularly long, about 2.5k….. but… it got out of hand… I hope you guys don’t mind! Please tell me if it’s annoying so I could break it down into more chapters in the future. I just wanted this one to be the last part of Stargazers so I could go ahead with the timeskip. Sorry for any and all grammatical errors! (English isn’t my native language and I haven’t proof read.)
P.S. The student that appears here, as well as the librarian, are made up for the sake of the story.

She had been searching for you everywhere that day. Elizabeth, who could only go so much without having your curious presence around, was certainly distraught. You were there during breakfast, and you were there for the classes you actually decided to attend (for, you see, sometimes they were just terrible and you figured there was no point of going through the torture some days) but sometime after Transfiguration, poof!

During dinner she was sure to have caught a glimpse of you stealing a plate of mashed potatoes and Merlin knows what else, and then you were gone again. Elizabeth had thought that maybe you were in a quiet part of the library, but upon visiting it, not finding you and being told of your growing list of borrowed books, she resorted to the only other person you seemed to be attached to: Newt. It wasn’t because you didn’t have other friends and acquaintances, but because she had caught you frequently exchanging words with the fellow, more so than with anyone else.

1) If you discover something that you’re passionate about, pursue it. Pursue it with everything you have.
2) If you need to cry, cry. Let tears run down your face until there are no more left, until you’re sure you can never cry again. Then wipe your cheeks, and continue fighting.
3) Take time for yourself. Sometimes when everything in your head gets too crowded and confusing, you just need to shut yourself out, to hole up in your room and just be alone with your thoughts.
4) There is no feeling just like the way your heart pounds when you’re at a concert and the lights go out. Also: nothing is as satisfying as screaming out the lyrics to your favourite songs, screaming them right at the person who wrote them down.
5) If you ever need to escape, read a book. Get lost in a different world, give your heart away to fictional characters. Laugh and cry with them. If you don’t like reading, listen to an audio book.
6) Flowers will light up your darkest days. If no one buys flowers for you, buy them for yourself.
7) Always be honest with people you expect to be honest with you. Tell them if you don’t like the way they act towards you or others. And always tell them how important they are, how much you love them and how grateful you are to have them in your life. You can’t say it often enough.
8) Laugh. Laugh until your stomach hurts and until happy tears blur your eyes.
9) Get out of your comfort zone and take the first step. Text him first. Smile at him. You’ve got nothing to lose. Who knows, maybe he’s been as scared as you to make a move.
10) Be nice to your parents. If they’re angry with you, it’s most likely because they’re worried. And think back, maybe you mistreated them. Maybe you weren’t fair. They’re the reason you’re in this world in the first place, so treat them accordingly.
11) Your heart will get broken, there’s no need to lie. But hearts don’t stay that way. It doesn’t matter if someone comes along and fixes it for you or if you fix it yourself. It’s not what you want to hear, but the boy who crushes your heart into tiny pieces probably won’t even matter to you five years from now.
12) Cut toxic people out of your life. You don’t need them. Don’t let them take your happiness.
13) It’s not selfish to put yourself first from time to time. Not at all.
14) Don’t ever wonder if you’re good enough. Instead try to be the best version of yourself. If you think you are not good enough for someone, think again: let go of them. They don’t deserve you, not the other way around.
15) Losing someone you love is always hard, no matter the circumstances. “Time heals wounds” is not necessarily true - but time helps. Time lets the pain fade to a dull ache in your chest until you wake up one day and you’re okay.
16) Don’t worry too much. Easy to say, isn’t it? What I mean is: don’t worry about things you don’t have to worry about. Because you don’t have to spend your days dreading the next week or dreading your life after school. There’s no point, it only drags you down.
17) Don’t take anything for granted, ever. Be grateful, even for the little things.
18) If someone says “you will never make it” to you, smile at them and try as hard as you can to get where you want to be. You don’t have to show them anything, but it still feels fucking fantastic to prove them wrong in the end, not gonna lie.
19) You have never been in love? You’re a virgin or unkissed, even? Don’t stress. The right person will come along, they’re on their way already. Until they reach you, be kind to yourself. Falling in love is neither a competition, nor a necessity.
20) Make other people happy. Yes. How good does it feel to make someone smile? Tell your best friend she looks amazing when you meet her, help your mum do the dishes, smile at strangers on your way home. Make yourself feel better by simply being a good person.
21) Learn how to forgive others. It’s a blessing to know how to stop holding grudges.
