So, Voltron has EIGHT Seasons, at the very least.

8 seasons. seasons= 7 letters. 8 + 7 = 15. And we are meant to have 5 paladins. 15 + 5 = 20

If we follow the letters in the word ‘paladin’ and each letter corresponds to a number (A=1, B=2, etc.)

P=16, A=1, L=12, A=1, D=4, I=9, N=14

16+1+12+1+4+9+14=57

And if we add these to the previous number… 57+20= 77

Coran and Allura were in that pod for 10,000 years. If we divide 10,000 by 77, we get 129.87 aka 130.

If we subtract the 7 main characters, as well as Zarkon and Haggar- which makes 9 characters in total- from the 130 we have, we will get 121.

As you can guess, a phrase can be made from those numbers, if we follow the sequence accordingly.

K=11, L=12, A=1, N=14, C=3, E=5

I=9, S=19

C=3, A=1, N=14, O=15, N=14

11+12+1+14+3+5+9+19+3+1+14+15+14 = 121

so what i’m saying is

Meet the Rutgers students who invented an eco-friendly transportation service for refugees

  • Trump wants to ban refugees from entering the United States. But these Rutgers University students want to help refugees live with dignity.
  • Rutgers Business School seniors Gia Farooqi, Hasan Usmani, Moneeb Mian and alumna Hana Lakhani — who are all Muslim — pitched Roshni Rides to the international social entrepreneurship competition Hult Prize for a $1 million prize.
  • The group won the regional finals of the competition in March, out of 50,000 applicants. The team beat out schools like Harvard, Yale and Purdue, and is one of five regional winners across the world, Umair Masood, Rutgers’ campus director for the Hult Prize, said in an email.
  • Roshni Rides is an eco-friendly rickshaw service, a two- or-three-wheeled man-powered passenger cart, that will allow refugees to travel with ease and without a financial burden.
  • If the team wins the $1 million prize, Roshni Rides would start its service in Orangi Town, Pakistan. Read more (3/9/17 3:14 PM)

Congressman Luis Gutierrez had questions for ICE. Instead of answers, he got led out in handcuffs.

  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials handcuffed Democratic Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez after he refused to leave ICE’s Chicago offices on Monday.
  • Gutierrez was at the office with a group of lawmakers, community activists and immigration lawyers for a meeting with ICE about recent deportation cases.
  • When the meeting concluded, Gutierrez and seven others felt that officials had not yet answered some of their most pressing questions and decided to stay until they did. Read more (3/14/17 9:12 PM)

Trump paid $38 million tax on $150 million income in 2005, report and White House say

  • On Tuesday evening, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow released partial documents from one of Trump’s tax returns showing the president paid $38 million on over $150 million in income from his business and media empire in 2005.
  • A simultaneous report on the Daily Beast, where Johnston is a contributor, showed Trump and his wife Melania paid a cumulative $5.3 million in regular income taxes, a rate of under 4%, and another $31 million in the “alternative minimum tax,” a tax for individuals and organizations with special circumstances that allow them to pay a lower rate.
  • That means, in 2005, Trump paid net federal taxes of roughly 25.33%. As the Daily Beast noted, Trump appears to have taken advantage of a $916 million loss from his casino businesses in 1995 to lower his overall tax burden even as late 2005.
  • The two pages of Trump’s 2005 were released on Johnston’s website, though it was crashing from heavy traffic as of Tuesday evening.
  • In response, the White House gave an identical quote to several media organizations confirming that Trump paid $38 million on his 2005 tax bill, Reuters’ Jennifer Ablan reported. The White House added the president had a responsibility to “pay no more than legally required.” Read more (3/14/17 9:35 PM)

anonymous asked:

Are Mormon even Christian?

Let’s take a look… (Mormon teachings in bold)

God is not eternal and has not always been God - The Bible says, in Psalm 90:2, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.“ and then James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” From these verses we see that God has always been, and has never changed, nor will He. Whereas the Mormon teachings state that God was once like us, God is clear that He is not. There was never a day where God was not God, He did not start out as a mortal man. Numbers 23:19, “ God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

The trinity is three separate gods (polytheistic) - Isaiah 46:9; “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me.” From this verse we read that there is only one God. The Bible is abounding in scriptural declarations that God is one. Verses that support the trinity are John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” John 1:1-3, John 14:9-11, Philippians 2:5-8, Colossians 1:5-7, Mark 28:19, and in John 8:58 Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” The Jews sought to stone Jesus on the basis of blaspheme because He plainly and directly claimed to be God.

Jesus was physically conceived by Mary and God the Father - Luke 1:34 says, “Then Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be, since I do not know a man?’“ Mary is taken aback at the news that the angel, Gabriel, delivers, for she is a virgin. There is nothing to indicate that there was a physical relationship between Mary and God. Quite the opposite, actually, because John says in verse 18, “No one has seen God [the Father] at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.“ Jesus was born of a virgin, His conception a supernatural phenomenon that emphasizes His divine nature.

Jesus is the brother of Satan - John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” No where does the Bible tell us that Satan was the brother of Jesus. The Bible says that Jesus is the one and only Son of God. Ezekiel 28:15 tells us that, unlike Jesus who is eternal and has always been, Satan was created, “You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you.” And who was Satan created by? John 1:1-3 says, “In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Satan is not the brother of Jesus, Satan was created BY Jesus.

Salvation is through works and meeting all the requirements - Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” The Bible is adamant that there is absolutely nothing we can do that amounts to anything in regard to salvation. It is entirely by God through Christ that we are saved, and the good works we do are ones that God specially and personally prepared for us. Verse 10, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” We are good because God restores us, apart from Him we can do no good. Good works are the fruit, the product of salvation, not the payment. Jesus paid it all. Galatians 3:3 says, “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?” There were Jews in Bible times preaching this exact same false doctrine of works plus faith salvation. They are severely reprimanded in this verse as being fools, because to preach that works save us is to revile the sacrifice of Jesus’ death on the cross. He is all we need, God’s grace is enough.

Are Mormons Christians? While they label themselves as such, the foundational principles are ones that drastically deviate from the truth of the Bible. They are not Christians. They have made a god (or, multiple gods, as it be) of their own choosing, and added their own distortion. A god created by man cannot save humanity, and therefore the eternal salvation of Mormons rests in peril. If we reject who God is and the free gift of salvation He offers, we damn ourselves to hell, and that is where the Mormon doctrine leads.

Retired coal miner says Bernie Sanders is doing more to help him than Mitch McConnell

  • At a town hall in West Virginia, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders earned praise from coal industry workers for doing what Mitch McConnell won’t.
  • “I’d never dreamed I’d get a chance to thank you personally for the bill that you cosponsored,” a retired coal miner told Sanders on Monday during a televised town hall event hosted by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.
  • The coal miner was referencing the Miners Protection Act, a bill introduced by Sanders, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and 24 other lawmakers from both parties.
  • The bill would shore up health benefits for over 12,000 retired mine workers whose benefits are set to run out at the end of April. It would also help save their flagging pension plans. Read more (3/14/17 9:53 AM)
This Wasn't Supposed to Happen

We’re in her room, laying on her bed.

We stare into each others’ eyes.

“I need you…” she whispers in my mouth.

I close my eyes for a moment and when I open them

I’m naked on top of her.

The slower I go, the harder she pulls.

I feel a pain in my back

“Baby,” she moans, “deeper”.

Her sweet calm voice fills my ear,

And I disappear for a moment.

Her nails digging in my skin brings me back.

I realize that she’s worse than drugs,

And dammit I’m addicted…

She whispered “I love you” just as she came.

She didn’t want the moment to end,

Pulling me harder and deeper.

She was falling and made me fall with her.

The moment was perfect, but this wan’t supposed to happen.

She doesn’t deserve what’s about to happen next…

She’s lying there exhausted and looks like an angel.

I kiss her good night right before I leave.

“I love you too”, I whispered.

I wish I wish I could hold her in my arms for eternity,

But this can’t happen anymore…

This wasn’t supposed to happen.

Surprise, it works!

Okay, so with a little bit of wire translation between the C64 and C16 keyboard matrix charts, I was able to get it to chooch.  it’s a clusterfuck of wires, and many of the special function keys aren’t mapped 1:1, but you could type on this beast if you had to.  With a bit of keycap rearrangement, I’m sure this would be a perfectly viable keyboard.

Recaps from Chat

Recap from the last chat - we went episode by episode, so all the writers should read this. I’ll still start with some general comments that people had and discussions of some useful aspects from the last chat as well.

As a quick note, some of the episodes are discussed more or less than others, depending on if the writer was there or if people had thoughts or substantive comments rather than just compliments. I also removed all of the comments that were simply complimentary, but the chat was overwhelmingly positive as to each and every episode, which makes sense because they’re all AWESOME. Just wanted you all to know that. Writers who weren’t at the chat but want to see people complimenting them, just let me know, I can send you portions of the raw transcript.

There was a suggestion  that we post one episode posted per day rather than all at once – thoughts?

Schedule reminder: Episode Drafts due July 31; Posting to start August 15

‘Iron Fist’ star Finn Jones blames Donald Trump for bad reviews of new Netflix series

  • As of this writing, Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist has a mere 12% on Rotten Tomatoes from 17 reviews — meaning just two critics liked it.
  • Iron Fist star Finn Jones believes that has something to do with Trump.
  • Speaking with Radio Times, Jones addressed the series’ early negative reception, stating, “I think the world has changed a lot since we were filming that television show. I’m playing a white American billionaire superhero, at a time when the white American billionaire archetype is public enemy number one, especially in the U.S.”
  • Jones noted that he believes that there has been a change in viewpoints since the 2016 election. Read more (3/14/17 9:45 AM)
