Faces from the #Not1More Boston Rally Against Deportations (4/17/14)

President Obama has deported 2 million people since he came into office and is the nation’s “Deporter in Chief.” Despite signing an executive order to halt the deportations of undocumented immigrants who came as children, he has taken no similar actions to halt the deportations of their older family members. Families are being split and destroyed every day by the Obama administration’s current policies, and President Obama has the power to sign a similar executive order tomorrow halting all deportations until Congress takes comprehensive action. But he has refused and continues to drag his feet, and some of the most marginalized families in our country are paying the price of his inaction.

I had the pleasure to attend and take pictures at this rally last Thursday, and it was incredibly moving.

Together we say: not one more family destroyed, not one more day without equality, not one more indifferent reaction to suffering, not one more deportation.

On International Workers Day, workers around the world call for an end to deportations. #not1more #2million2many #mayday

I was recently commissioned by the AFL-CIO to create this graphic for May Day. I was enlivened by their stance on deportations. It’s going to take us all coming together to say NOT ONE MORE. Please SHARE widely and stand in solidarity with workers and families being devestated by deportations. An injury to one is an injury to all.

An amazing, passionate message to President Obama from the child of an undocumented immigrant

This is important and really moving. Please listen and share. #Not1More #2Million2Many

2Million2Many! Not One More Deportation! Every day more than 1,000 people are deported. It is predicted that in April, 2 million people will have been deported by the Obama administration. Amid Congressional inaction, President Obama and his administration must understand that our community cannot continue to wait. The president can take concrete, bold and necessary actions TODAY to turn back the deportation dragnet. On April 5th, groups are holding events across the country to say: 2Million2Many! Not One More Deportation!

#2million2many !

Great being a part of this. It was beautiful to see some support from Humboldt County community.

Even if I am angry at the ignorant people out there. Still great.

Being able to show my sister all of what I do, the organizing, the rallies, even taking her to congressman and their staff and to the national democratic committee headquarters to demand administrative relief.and pressure them to come out in support of that to stop deportations is an experience I hope she doesn’t forget. I showed her today what I do and who I fight for! We all can make a difference. #WECANTWAIT #END #ADMINRELIEF #FAMILIES #SISTER #OBAMA #STOPSEPARATINGFAMILIES #2MILLION2MANY
