Kind of a crappy quality photo, but one of my co-workers asked me how long I’ve been at this whole working out/trying to get healthier thing as we were walking to our cars tonight. So, I decided to check out my progress.
It’s astonishing to me that it’s only been 14 months since I made a somewhat serious commitment to my health. Tonight, after a long 13 hour shift on my feet in the PICU, I did my measurements. I’m 21.8 pounds and 27 inches down in just over a year. Those numbers mean very little when compared to how much I can physically do that I simply couldn’t do before, though.
Still so amazed looking at pictures of myself from just a few months ago! I was 210 pounds mid December, I’m down almost 27 pounds at 183.4 with crossfit and keto diet by my side my progress has been amazing. So prob don’t of myself I never thought I would be able to wear form fitting clothes… I never thought I could be this happy and love myself this much. Invest in yourself. Invest in your life.
For 10 weeks, Mark Haub, a professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University, ate one of these sugary cakelets every three hours, instead of meals. To add variety in his steady stream of Hostess and Little Debbie snacks, Haub munched on Doritos chips, sugary cereals and Oreos, too. Source
if we count my biceps alone, I could lift 5-6 Skittys as dumbells for each respective arm, as for holding them in a constant static position, that would be another measurement, and I’d probably be able to carry 15 Skittys.
