A moment of silence for Jonas Hahle and Juan Garriga.

Juan Garriga was a former Grand Prix rider, finishing second in 1988 in the 250cc class. A notable character in the GP paddock, he was a He lost his life after a crash in road traffic in Spain.

Jonas Hahle was just 15 years old at the time of his death. He was a talented rider and German hope in Grand Prix motorcycling. He crashed at the start of the ADAC Junior Cup when he collided with a rider who suddenly stopped on the grid. He fell from his bike, and was run over by two other riders, suffering massive internal and head injuries. While the medical team on-site did the best they could, Jonas succumbed to his injuries in the hospital that same evening.

This was the third time just this year that a rider lost his life at the Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben.
