"On December 23, 2012, the photographer went to New Bataan, Compostela Valley to document the aftermath of typhoon Pablo in the town, He photographed by sight, hearing, smell, and feeling, using a point-and-shoot camera and 35mm film.

A year after, he returned to the town with the same purpose—to document what has become of the town, after the typhoon.

What resulted was a photo series that had surrealist and documentary beauty––photographs that applied surrealist principles in documentary photography, using traditional and contemporary photography technique. As a Communication Arts student, this was his “decisive moment” by which he can express himself through visual communication.”
