BTS FC 170309

Hello this is BTS’ Suga
Haha it is finally my 25th birthday?
I feel kind of weird
I feel like just yesterday I was 20 years old
Since debut, it’s both my 4th Spring and birthday
Me, a person who has always been impatient and constantly worrying about the future
Me, a person who always feels 21 years old performs in front of countless of ARMYs
And now that others call me sunbae (senior), I get to perform at concerts all around the world,
I am constantly living a busy life that gives me the opportunity to meet you all which is a dream and I’m so happy about it.
After debuting, it’s always so exciting to see so many ARMYs take care of me and wish a happy birthday
To be honest, I never cared much for birthdays
Thinking how ARMYs prepare special gifts and are happy doing it make my birthday feel special
Thank you to every single ARMY for making me a special person
I may look like a person who is living just because they were born, but I am trying very hard and my best to become a better person
So please continue to watch over me for a very long time
Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday
As I grow older, I promise to repay you guys with better music and performances

P.S. Now I want to stop growing old… ㅠㅠ

I get a bit angry when people question Lily and James’ want to have kids young. Harry might have really been planned! I was with my guy since high school, got married young and got pregnant on purpose at 18. Gave birth at 19 and again at 21. My husband and myself are now 32 with a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son and are about to celebrate 13 years of marriage in October. Best thing I have ever done. Some people are the exception and not the rule. Maybe so for James and Lily too.

10 years ago, my little brother suffered a central nervous system relapse 2 weeks before Christmas.

The doctors said there wasn’t much they could do and gave him less than 2 months to live.

I resolved that if it was going to be his last Christmas, I wanted it to be his best.

The best way I could describe that time in my family’s life is complete and utter darkness.

Yet we serve a mighty and loving God who says, “Let there be light.”

John is now a 21 year old man who is getting ready to graduate college.

Christmas is a beautiful reminder that day after day and night after night we receive the gift of hope through the heart of Jesus.

Even in our darkest moments, The King of Light tells us, “In this world you will have trouble, but do not be afraid. I have overcome the world.”

i graduated from a women’s college and spent a lot of time learning about the history of the suffragists and suffragettes in my classes. it’s so humbling to hear about how much those women suffered (it’s appalling how they were treated) just to get the right to VOTE. all of this less than a century ago.

as a 21 year old first time voter i can now say i’ve never cast a vote for a male president.

thank you, sister suffragettes.

Some of you know that I came out as transgender when I was 16.

I stopped presenting as male for a long time, simply due to my mental health and un-approving people in my life, plus at 16 years old the thought of transitioning was a difficult one, to say the least.

I’m 21 years old now, and I can confidently say I am a boy. I’ve known for quite a while, but wasn’t willing to admit it to myself.

So, I guess… Hello world, this is me.

What Hides In Plain Sight

A/N: So this is my first actually planned planned lol fic! I have no idea how long it’s going to be, or what the update schedule will be for now!

Natsu Dragneel is just an ordinary 21 year old trying to get by on his craft’s business, keep his landlady off his ass, and grow his friendship with his new weird neighbor Lucy. Without revealing that he’s a witch. Or his cat can fly and talk. So maybe Natsu isn’t that normal. Things take a serious left turn for him when people from his past start showing up, and he and Lucy as well as some new -and old- friends travel across Fiore trying to find some answers. But the question is, will they be happy with what they find?

Natsu Dragneel did not freak out. He did, however, from time to time, perchance, become acutely aware of how much of a shit disturbing cat he had, and said cat’s ability to somehow break into the apartment across the hall from him. The one that a new tenant had just recently moved into, that Natsu had not yet met. He didn’t really care about what other people thought about him - he didn’t exactly socialize- but he figured that his cat tearing up all of their furniture or getting into their fridge would be a truly horrible way to meet someone.

So had Natsu decided the only available option would be to break into their flat.

“Happy!” Natsu hissed, dropping down to his hands and knees to look beneath the large cream sofa in the living room. His cheek was pressed firmly against the soft carpet as he craned his neck to look into the darkness that separated the furniture and the floor, glaring when all he saw was two pens and a handful of change. A slight rustle from the kitchen caught his attention and Natsu jerked his head up, cracking it on the low wooden coffee table behind him. Natsu let out a low groan, and tenderly rubbed the now sore spot by the crown of his head. The fridge door was open and blocking his view, but Natsu knew what Happy was searching for. “Happy, you can’t just break into someone’s apartment and take their food.” Natsu chastised as he walked around the sofa and short bookshelf that rested against it’s back. When he finally got to the kitchen Natsu crossed his arms and rolled his eyes at the cat’s sad face. Looking over the contents of the fridge Natsu let out a small chuckle and relaxed his stance. “Of course she’s not going to have raw fish laying around buddy,” Natsu sighed at Happy’s watery eyes, bending down to scoop up the feline. “I know you smelt it earlier, but maybe she ate it,”. The cat shot him an aghast look before leaping from his arms and running down the hall, dashing into the girl’s bedroom.

Well, Natsu had assumed it was a girl from the vanilla scent the already permeated the air in the apartment. Not to mention the ten pairs of boots and heels he had seen in the front entrance. Really, why did someone need that many different things to wear on their feet? This entire apartment confused him if Natsu was honest. The furniture looked brand new and high end, plush cream upholstery and dark wooden accents on the matching reading chair to the sofa. A lush dark carpet designated the living room space, which also boasted an average sized flat screen, or at least what Natsu though would count as ‘average’ for someone who could afford a flat screen. The off-white walls that were standard with the apartment flowed nicely with the look of the open floor space, while in Natsu’s they were smudged and stood out from his mixed-matched furniture. A small sandalwood table by the window had a tiny flower pot -freshly planted- and two chairs, though Natsu guessed that one was more for show than another person. Overall the room looked like it had been ripped from one of those home design magazines, the glass and white plastic cabinets and stone countertops of the standard kitchen included.

I hope you guys like it! I’m counting this as a scenario not Fan-Fic. Tell me what you think! It’s not my best work. :( But, the idea came to me suddenly!

Parts1 2 3 4 5 6

“Are you coming?” Your friend Jennifer called. You sighed before nodding your head. You climbed onto the bus that was heading to your destination. You were on your way to a small cafe. You go there every few days with some friends of yours. You all spill on the drama that has been going on in your life over some caffeine. Now a days, most of the chit chat was about the royal family. You’re not a native to Korea, being born in a different country, but your family moved to South Korea due to your father’s work. You’ve lived here since you were 9 years old. You are now 21. You’re fluent in Korean and still speak English fine. Now a days, you barely speak English. You’re father passed away 5 years ago in a car accident. Your mother found no reason to return to America.

About 3 years ago, the monarchy of South Korea was restored. There were people against it, but the response was good over all. You personally thought it would make the government more complicated. A President, Prime Minister and now a King? So far, it’s been working, so you’ve kept your mouth closed.

“How did the job interview go?” Jennifer suddenly questioned. You drew your eyes away from the window and looked over at her. Her eyes twinkled with hope as she stared at you. You looked down at your hands, sighing.

“I don’t think it went well.” You voiced, pouting slightly, “I can cook, I can’t really bake that well. I don’t even know why I tried to get hired at a Bakery.”

Jennifer’s eyebrows furrowed as she looked on at your slouching form, “There are a lot of restaurants around. Don’t give up yet.”

You smiled briefly at Jennifer’s words, but they weren’t changing your mood. You’ve already given up. You dream is to be a chef. You’ve been cooking since you could work a microwave. You love to cook, and make up recipes. The previous place you worked for, closed down. That left you without a job. For the past few weeks, you’ve been trying your hardest to find a new job. Most of your friends try to avoid that topic.

The bus finally came to a stop. You slowly stood up, not waiting for Jennifer, You hopped off the bus, seeing your regular cafe in front of you. Through the big window you spotted 2 of your other friends; Sulli and Lee Hi. They were already chatting away, chuckles flooding from their lips. You looked behind you to see Jennifer hopping off the bus at a slow pace. Once you caught her eye, you nodded forward at the cafe before walking ahead. You strolled into the cafe, the cool air hitting your skin sharply. Goosebumps rose on your arms, causing you to readjust the sweater your were wearing.

“____!” Lee Hi shouted as she spotted you. She waved her hands up, as if flagging you. You couldn’t help but chuckle at her motion. Sulli simply smiled.

“Jennifer!” Lee Hi called out. Her booming voice caused some other customers to look on with annoyed expressions. You and Jennifer made your way to the table, taking your regular seats. Turns out Sulli already ordered for the both of you. A vanilla bean like always.

“So what’s been going on?” You asked, taking a sip of your drink. Sulli ran her fingers through her newly dyed hair. She went from a dark red to jet black. Either color looks good on her.

“The royal family.” She started, resulting in a roll of the eyes from everyone else.

“Wait, let me finish!” She whined, “Prince Jongdae has started looking for a wife! You can go to the palace and sit and speak with him for about 20 minutes. If he likes you, he calls you for another meeting.”

“Are you going to try it?” Jennifer asked. Sulli shook her head quickly.

“I don’t have the confidence! From what I’ve heard, they started the meetings 2 weeks ago. Every scholar and diplomat has sent their daughter over there. Not one of them have received a call back for a second meeting. Regular women are starting to appear for the meetings. At this point, I think it’s useless. If he’s not interested in a scholar’s daughter or even a diplomat’s daughter, what’s the point? Rumors say he has only call back 5 women for 2nd meetings.”

You simply shook your head, taking another sip of your drink before setting it down on the table. Sulli gasped suddenly before digging into her purse. You were sure it was gonna be something else about the royal family, and you were correct.

She pulled out a newspaper clipping, setting it down on the table. She pushed it towards you. Your eyes flickered from the piece of paper, back up at her.

“What is it?” You slowly reached for the paper, not having a chance to read it before Sulli speaks.

“The palace is looking for workers. They are looking for people to work in the kitchen.” She spoke softly, a small smiling pulling at her lips. Your eyes widen and you looked up at her in surprise.

“The second I saw it, I thought of you, so I had to make sure to get it for you.” She explained. you placed the piece of paper down, getting up from your seat in a rush. You shuffled over to her, pulling her into a tight hug.

“Thank you, thank you!” You said over and over again. After releasing her from your death grip of a hug, you went back over to your seat.

“Do you think they’ll hire me?” You questioned, looking at the slip of paper.

“I think they would,” Lee Hi said. She wasn’t speaking much. You looked up at her in concern.

“Are you okay?” You asked raising an eyebrow. She didn’t really sound like herself. You dug your phone from your back pocket, opening up your email. There was only an email if you were interested in the job. You wanted to email them as soon as possible. You resulted to using your phone.

“Sungmin has been acting distant lately,” Lee Hi began, looking down at the table, “I think he’s cheating on me.”

You stopped the email you were typing to look up at your friend. Everyone at the table was silent.

“There’s no way!” Jennifer wailed from beside you, “Sungmin loves you! You guys have been dating for so long!”

Lee Hi shook her head slowly, rejecting Jennifer’s words. Her face began to turn red as she held back her tears.

“He’s cheating! I know he is! I could smell her perfume on him when got home from work.” Lee Hi’s words began to slur together. A choked sob escaped her lips. We all did what we could to calm her down.

A week later you got a response. They set up a time for a quick meeting, which you were going to at the moment. They would follow up on your cooking skills, along with give you a brief interview. Your friends wished you good luck. After the long process of confirming your ID and that you were expected in the palace, you were allowed in. You had to go through security, and your belongs, which was only your bag, had to be searched. You were dressed simply. You wore black leggings with a nice peach blouse. Your hair was in loose curls that bounced as you walked.

You settled on your black Converse sneakers. They were the low top ones. You followed behind the man dressed sharply in a suit. Yet you could barely follow him along as you walked through the place. It was beautiful. There were breath taking painting hung all over. The decor was fascinating. The high ceiling along with the marble floor, covered with countless carpets.

“You’re here for the meeting, correct?” The man asked, looking back at you. You nodded shyly, avoiding eye contact with the man.

He stopped walking, making you stop. He looked you up and down for a moment before scoffing. Your face scrunched up in confusion.

“Don’t you think you’re a little under dressed?” The man voiced, looking at your outfit once again. You looked down at yourself and shrugged, not knowing what the big deal was.  Unlike everyone else, you saw the royal family as normal people. They were normal people up till 3 years ago. Honesty, how dress up do you need to be for a chef job meeting? The man snickered before nodding and walking on.

You followed him silently. The both of you soon turned a corner and came upon an ugly sight. There were many women setting on the floor, in dresses. They weren’t just any old dresses. These looked like top of the line dresses. They probably cost hundreds of dollars. Despite that, they were sitting on the floor. Most of the women on the floor were crying.

Your eyes narrowed as you walked past them. You couldn’t understand what was going on. Finally the both of you came to a set on double doors.

“Are you ready?” The man asked.

You nodded your head but didn’t hesitate to ask, “Why are those women crying?”

“Because they were denied by his highness.” He explained as he opened the double doors.

“Denied for the cooking job?”

“What? Of course not, denied during the potential marriage meeting. Which is what you are about step into.”

Your eyes opened wide and your muscles froze. What?  No. No! They’ve misunderstood!

“No, no, no. I think there has been a mix up!” You exclaimed, waving your hands at the man. Yet he was ignoring your words. it’s like he didn’t hear you.

“Prince Jongdae is ready for you.” He said, glancing at you.

You shook your head vigorously,”No, you’re not listening!” Before you could protest anymore, you were pushed through the double doors, nearly falling on your face. The double doors closed behind you. You kept your eyes on the ground as you stood there, still in shock. Of course you weren’t the only one there. His gaze was practically burning a hole in your side. Only one thing was running through your mind at the moment.

Oh no.

Trial begins for the man accused of killing black trans woman Islan Nettles

“It’s been a long time coming,” Delores Nettles, a Harlem mother, said to reporters on March 3, 2015. It was the day a Brooklyn man named James Dixon was arrested and charged with manslaughter and felony assault in the August 2013 beating that left Nettles’ 21-year-old daughter, Islan, brain dead. Now, the Nettles family and their supporters will have their day in court.

On Thursday, Dixon’s manslaughter and assault trial will begin, with dozens of observers in New York City and across the country paying close attention.

School shooter Brandon McInerney, who shot classmate Larry King to death in 2008.  Larry, an openly gay 15-year-old, had asked 14-year-old Brandon to be his Valentine in front of others.  He then had shouted out “Love you baby” to Brandon in the corridor.

McInerney was sentenced to 21 years in prison.  Brandon is now 21 years old.
