Kedah MB's office, Sg Petani Umno offer to fly missing girl's parents to France
SUNGAI PETANI: The Kedah Menteri Besar’s office and Sungai Petani Umno division have offered to provide assistance to bring the parents of Norsakinah Naim, reported missing in Paris recently, to France.
The MB’s political secretary, Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol, said the Sungai Petani Umno division has offered to manage and bear the cost of the 19-year-old’s parents to travel to Paris.
The Kedah Menteri Besar’s office, meanwhile, will provide financial assistance to help them while they are abroad.
“We understand that, as parents, they would want to be informed of the latest developments in the search.
"We believe it would be helpful if we could provide assistance to bring them over to France.
"I was informed that Sungai Petani Umno division chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Saad will assist Norsakinah’s parents for the trip, including helping them to get their passports, purchase the flight ticket to Paris as well as to transport them from their home here to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
"The Menteri Besar’s office on the other hand will provide financial assistance for them. The MB’s office will also be ready to help the family in any way possible,” said Shaiful, who was met during a visit to Norsakinah’s family home here today.
Shaiful, who represented Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah at the visit, said both Norsakinah’s parents will be travelling to Paris on Saturday (Oct 1) evening, based on their request.
He said the Sungai Petani Umno division including its wings, will also be holding a Yasin recital and Solat Hajat to pray for the safety of Norsakinah. He also urged the people to do the same instead of spreading speculation on the incident which may invite other undesirable problems.
Happy Birthday Kareena Kapoor Khan: These photos prove how pregnancy agrees with the actress
Birthdays are always special, but this year Kareena Kapoor Khan has another reason to smile about. The leading lady is expecting her first baby with actor-husband Saif Ali Khan.
Kareena turns 36 on 21 September and all she plans to do on this special day is eat lots of food and relax. There has never been a grand party for her birthdays and like every year, she will be spending the day with close friends, family and Saif.
“It is [birthday] special this time. But to be honest there are no special plans. I will celebrate my birthday with family and close friends like every year. There is no party as such. I will eat lots of food and just relax,” she said.
With an illustrious career spanning over a decade, Kareena is one of the few actresses who refuse to give in to stereotypes and some of her recent statements on motherhood is proof of that.
She put a stop to all the attention her pregnancy was getting right after she broke the news to the media. It was being said she would be taking a maternity break, causing the producers of Veerey Di Wedding quite a bit of loss.
“It’s the most normal thing on earth to produce a child. It is high time the media back off, and stop treating me any different than I ever was. Anybody who is bothered shouldn’t work with me… but my work goes on as is, like always. Stop making it a national casualty,” she said.
