I’m working on a YouTube vid about this, but in the meantime, here’s a basic breakdown. This debate has been going on for a while now, and to be honest, there’s no real winner. Motorcycle Pros: Maneuver through traffic jams, fuel-efficient, easily concealable. Motorcycle Cons: Rider left vulnerable to the elements, small storage compartments, passenger restrictions. Off-Road Vehicle Pros: Maneuver over debris and through disaster areas, room for gear and passengers (when utilizing a roof rack for your gear). Off-Road Vehicle Cons: Poor fuel economy, lack of cargo space.
RV (or Motor Home) Pros: Very spacious, luxuries of home, can carry many passengers. RV Cons: Very poor fuel economy, height clearance with low hanging trees, nearly impossible to conceal. Hybrid Pros: Very fuel-efficient, room for passengers and gear. Hybrid Cons: Hard to conceal, price. There are still countless other factors that come into play. For example, those that evacuated in the days before Hurricane Sandy could have used a bicycle and journeyed to safety with ease. Those that decided to ride out the storm faced a maze of flooded roads, downed power lines, lengthy power outages, poor cellular telephone service, and a gas crisis. Again, all this will be mentioned in an upcoming video. Stay tuned and stay tactical. #bugoutbag #bugoutvehicle #survival #bailoutbag #evacuation #shtf #prepper #prepping #prep #disaster #tactical #201tactical
