A road-going version of the 300 SLR sports racer which combined the 300 SLR’s rolling chassis and aerodynamic nose cone with the hard-top and gullwing doors of the production 300 SL Gullwing.  Capable of 290 km/h (180 mph) the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé was by far the fastest road car of its era.
