An accidental “word map” of South America, published by the Geographical Press in 1935. The map is supposed to show the labeled landforms of South America; this copy was erroneously printed without the landforms.
Ivor Novello took me to the dress rehearsal of Vivien’s first appearance on the stage and of course back to meet her in her dressing room afterwards. Her beauty was too fragile to come over the footlights in that enormous theatre for she was like a little flower when I met her causing me to say, “Oh, you shouldn’t be in the theatre, you should be in front of a camera,” whereupon she told me she wasn’t interested in films. Later I’m sure she changed her mind when she saw the results of the camera as well as all the love that came to her. Lillian Gish
