Two and a half weeks ago, I brought home 3 kittens from a litter of 5 to foster. The other two kittens went to a different foster home. I was very concerned when I was told yesterday that the other two kittens still had fleas, and had tape worms, and had lost weight since intake. I offered to take these other two. We got them this afternoon. The little one, Rosie, was indeed smaller than mine at 1’ 5.75". She is the top one in the first photo. Flora, the big one, on the right in the second photo was essentially the same size as mine at 1’ 11". The vet record showed they had not lost weight from intake, so I thought things weren’t that bad.
I did finally get their exact intake weights. In the 17 days since intake all 3 or my kittens have gained right at 11 ounces each. Flora has gained 7 ounces. Turns out she was the biggest kitten at intake, so a little behind, but not terrible. Little Rosie, on the other hand, has only gained 3.75 ounces. So, I think they were right to pull these kittens. Maybe the other foster took on too many animals. I will do my best to get these two up to weight, especially Rosie. I think being back with their brothers and sister will help 😊
Every time I see you post the XX Day of whether or not Larries have accepted the baby, I think to myself - wtf? He just IS. Freddie is real. He exists. How the fuck do you "accept it" or "not accept it"? It's not some debatable theory. Do Larries sit around talking to each other and asking one another whether or not the ocean is salty, too? FFS.
Day 17, they are no closer to accepting that Freddie is a real human being and the son of Louis Tomlinson. Sad, really.
