Week 34: Artistic Red

When a Canadian trio power band releases red vinyl you just have to go with it.

Canon EOS 70D with 24x70 f/2.8L II USM at ISO320 1.3sec at f/16 70mm

Tripod, small desktop LED light, turntable spinning at 33 and some Lightroom CC.

Would love a turn table setup like that…wow. Great call on the desk light and long exposure. The motion blur highlights add nicely to this image @bmrider69! - RK

“I believe I speak for everyone when I say that Santa Elena Canyon was one of the highlights of our weekend at Big Bend National Park. The drive from our campsite to the canyon was a stunning one to say the least. We stopped the car a handful of times on the way to take in the vast and rapidly changing scenery. Once we got to the canyon, we ate a quick lunch and embarked on our hike which ended with a couple of us splashing around in the Rio Grande. We made it back to our campsite just in time to witness the sunset which was immediately followed by the most starry sky I had ever seen. Being completely disconnected from the outside world with no cellphone service while being surrounded by such natural beauty was the perfect recipe for complete serenity. It felt so healthy to unplug and just be.” -Nicole (Canon 24-70mm + 16-35mm.)
