Last night I tried my hand at night sky photography for the first time. The Perseids are on their way out (peak was 2-3 nights ago), but last night a serendipitous parting of the clouds let me get a couple of cool shots. In the first one, a second meteor became visible at the very top of the photo when editing on my comp–totally escaped my weak human eyes at the time! Also threw in two non-meteor starscapes catching some pre-dawn sunlight at long exposures. All shots are with the Sony NEX-6 and the f/3.5 16-50mm kit lens.
